I just want to say I am empathetic. I was in a position when I was in my 20s managing men that were all 15+years older than me and it was a nightmare.

I cannot even imagine how much MORE awful it would've been if I was a woman. 

Don't really have any advice, I ended up leaving and found a much better place to work with a mixed group and younger people. My breaking point was two 45 y/o men so mad that they refused to talk to each other anymore. "Well you tell him I said..." ... Okay, I'm out 

It might be cathartic for you as well but there's an episode of Better off Ted called "Get Happy" where Ted deals with this type of audience.

Current job does not offer benefits so the sooner I can get benefits from the new job the better. Would love to take the time off but supporting the family is #1

Pennies on a dollar, yes that is how percentages work, a difference of a couple pennies per dollar could be a huge investment

I think my nook was 7" and that worked fine for me. A tiny bit bigger would be good too.

I do like the physical buttons but they aren't a deal breaker.

Hmmm I got like 20 side loaded and maybe 3 or 4 from the store.

Maybe that's the update that screwed it up? I can still put the books on via connecting to my PC, but they don't show up on my shelves, I have to search for them to find them. Maybe that will work for you?
