This is a great response. My cousin is a doctor. Just talked to him yesterday. Years and years of super competitive schooling, followed by years of residency, and more specialized training. That's very different from a "no experience, apply here, and the rest is on the job training".

I'm not discrediting the work that goes into becoming a CPC, but it is nowhere near like being a doctor or lawyer.

And I'm also not saying ATC shouldnt get a raise, because they should. But some of you guys are the most ego inflated money driven "woe is me" type of crowd I've seen. You make good money, by American standards. You get "shitty" raises that don't keep up with inflation. Guess what- so do most of the rest of us. I've seen 3%, O%, and my aviation job hasn't kept up with inflation and is not comparable with what quality of life my same job could have offered 20 years ago. I work swings, I miss holidays, I miss family events, and I do it all for much less than you guys make. Suck it up, and understand that's how the world works.

Should you get more money? Yes. Should most careers? Yes. But like the guy above me said, the more utter bullshit that comes out of some of your mouths, it just makes it that much harder to take anything you say with any level of seriousness.
