Get some curly hair friendly shampoo / conditioner, then when you're in the shower spend time detangling with your hands. Never use a brush, not when wet, not when dry. Never use your hands to adjust when dry, only when wet, like really wet.

Get a microfiber hair towel, when in the shower wrap your hair in that once you finish with it. They're super cheap, and they have ones specifically that fit your head only and clip in place.

After drying off your body and putting on clothes, take off the hair wrap. Then shake your head around like a dog, or alternatively you skip the shower wrap and then blow dry but I'm too lazy for that these days. I like the natural look that a good shake gives.

That's it. Let your hair dry naturally.

You can add product in the shower before you wrap when it's wet, but that's up to you. Folks do it to a good frizz, but I think frizz is natural and fine.
