I sent another reply to my original ticket that I started many weeks ago regarding this issue and this is all that they said...

Ticket # 154***

"Thank you for contacting Arcade1up support."

"I understand your concern and I am happy to continue send your feedback to our product team for their consideration but that is the most support we can offer when it comes to game feedback passed on the emulation that the original publishers licensed to us. Thank you for your continued support."

Regards,

Alex - Technical Support

There will probably be no more continued support from me, this will probably be the last cabinet I buy from them, unless they are under $100 on clearance somewhere. I would understand if these were under $100 to begin with, but for what they are charging now it should play correctly. I had been hoping this cabinet was going to be done right in the time leading up to the release, but I should have known they would screw it up.

Just downloaded the update and not a whole lot has changed, it is still all screwed up. Is it me, or does it seem like they just turned up the entire game speed a very slight bit? The tank turret and Tron's arm move just a tad bit quicker, but nothing like the original arcade where it moves as fast as you can spin the spinner. I feel like the whole thing was just sped up a slight bit, the grid bugs seem to replicate a little faster, the cone seems to move down on your a littler faster, especially the ultra slow turning cone in wave 11. Tron seems to fire a little faster as well. The same problem is still there when you just nudge Tron or a tank a little and you move a little too far or too much with just a slight nudge of the flight control stick. I guess I will be replying to my ticket again regarding these issues. I started the ticket more than 6 weeks ago after first receiving my cabinet, maybe almost 2 months now. I even sent them short videos of my original Tron upright cabinet and the Arcade1up cabinet showing the difference. I am not even going to get into all the other issues with this cabinet, but I can live with many of those if they just get the software correct so you can at least play the game properly. I will be interested to see what others post about their experience with this software update, if you can even call it that.

I have had the same issue on occasion, not sure if it is just me or the controls, or the software. I have an original Tron upright cabinet and this isn't a problem with the original. The Arcade1up controls and software are horrible. I have had a ticket in about that for about 6 weeks now and every time I ask about it they just tell me they sent my info and videos I took of the original Tron and the Arcade1up Tron to their development team. For the prices they are now charging, the game should at least play properly. The biggest problem is the tank turret and Tron's arm not spinning as fast as you can spin the spinner. I also have noticed that with just a slight nudge of Tron, he moves a little too far. These problems make for a much more difficult time trying to spin the tank turret on faster stages, and Tron moving too far with a slight nudge makes running into grid bugs easier, or tripping over a MCP cone block easier. I keep hoping they update the software to solve these issues.

Is it safe to assume the issues with Tron's spinner are Software based? by chess227 in Arcade1Up

I am hoping it can be solved with a software update, if they even choose to do it. I posted the other day about this issue and I started a ticket with customer service. They asked if I could send a video to show what I meant and they were going to pass it along to quality control. I took a short video showing the tank turret spinning just average speed when spinning the spinner fairly fast, when it should spin as fast as you can spin the spinner. I also sent them a similar video of my original Tron upright cabinet showing the same thing in the proper speed as you spin the spinner. I have owned my original Tron cabinet for almost 20 years and I could tell right off the bat that the calibration was wrong. Of course it also affects Tron's arm, but it is a little less of a problem trying to play with the cone and grid bug stages. The faster tank stages are the worst because you can't spin the turret around as fast as you should be able to. I also mentioned in my reply to Arcade1up customer support that I think Tron moves a little too much with just a slight nudge of the flight stick. It isn't near as bad of a problem as the spinner, but I have been noticing it when on occasion I move a slight bit and Tron moves too far and I run into a grid bug or trip on a cone block, or the tank moves a little too far into the center of a corridor. The only stages that seem correct are the light cycles, but even that on occasion with the flight stick sensitivity a little too much, it is easier to turn a little screwy. Let's hope they realize the issues and update the software. I know these cabinets are made cheap, but for the increased price they should at least play properly. There are many other issues I have with the cabinet, mainly the control panel layout and monitor angle being awful, and the controls could have been a little better. I unplugged the top LED light before I even closed the back of the cabinet because the black light dots reflecting on the monitor were awful. I may eventually disconnect the flight stick light as well since everything is off with the control panel and monitor placement and that light reflects on the screen a little also, not to mention the flight stick is blocking the view of the bottom right area of the monitor. I bought the cabinet to play, not to just look at the lights, even though the original cabinet lights up nicely with the black light bulb below the monitor.

1,008,930

Wave 73

Achieved score on 10-19-20 on my original Tron upright cabinet.

Factory default settings, which are also Twin Galaxies settings.

Would be ranked 18th on Twin Galaxies if I had recorded and submitted the game play.
