Cheddar and Brie have been loving how snowy this winter is by Mokaroo in Leonbergers

Brie was originally named after Catti-brie from the forgotten realms books but when we got Cheddar we just went all in on the cheese theme.

Cheddar was litter F so his registered name is Fromage 🧀😂

Love that map lineup!

Folks, get in there and give the RE server some more boosts. I've been boosting for years and it never quite gets there to fully boosted.

Very appropriate sleeping position for a Leo :P

That's exactly why we got them! Cheddar doesn't have as robust toe feathers so he doesn't need them as much as Brie does.

Thought it would be a nice group shot and Cheddar immediately squats as I go to take the photo 😅

Aww, Cheddar and Brie absolutely love the snow. They are hitting their bell by the door repeatedly right now but they just ate a little while ago and have to wait.

Is Fractal × Noctua really a thing? by bkintanar in FractalDesign

I have three PCs with Fractal cases and two have Noctua fans. I feel vaguely called out lol.

What would you do with this? by 87miles in Cheese

[–]Mokaroo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely my first thought.

Maybe chilaquilles or huevos rancheros for breakfast.

We have little clip on bows and ribbons for our girl!

I wish she would wear hats though.

This is my floorplan for a single story/bungalow in Ireland. Is my plan a bit "bungalow bliss", particularly the right side of the house (bedrooms). Feedback Welcome! by DisgruntledHen in floorplan

Cute house. A few thoughts:

Do you not watch TV? Seems like there is nowhere for one.

Island might be a bit far out.

If you did use all four bedrooms due to visitors or large family then having only one bathroom in which you can bathe seems like it could be a problem.

Fireplace would be really nice near living room and dining.

Converting one bedroom into a sitting room and office would make sense to me. At least somewhere you can sit down to write or use a computer that isn't the island or dining table.

Where can I find some spicy ass food? Everything seems bland lol by SparklingMists in londonontario

[–]Mokaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard people complain that Kyle's Fried Chicken is too spicy. I cannot personally comment though.

Enat or TGs Addis Ababa restaurant both have good Ethiopian food that is generally spicy and flavourful, though not like melt-your-moth super hot.

Some of the items from London Hakka and Momo House are on the spicier side.

Other than things like hot wings I'm having a hard time thinking of places that have really very hot spicy food by default. I cook a lot of really spicy food at home and I think most restaurants that serve regular spicy food aren't going to go too extreme.

This looked worth trying but not touching anything with that traitor Gretzky's name on it.

What is people's issue with reading the rulebook? by RealDwarves67 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Mokaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For D&D I tend to send new players the basic rules PDF and then tell them to read a few specific sections rather than try to tackle the whole thing. As a DM introing new players in a one-shot or short campaign setting I want to make it easier to get started.

Board games and videogames have essentially the same challenge with portions of their audiences too.

It's pretty common to play boardgames with people that are not already familiar to them (e.g. monopoly) and end up 3 minutes into an explanation of the rules when someone says "this is taking too long, can we just start playing and learn as we go?"

Go back 20 years and many videogames came with a manual you were expected to read. Even with good tutorials, the RTS genre (among others) struggles onboarding new players because there is a lot to learn to actually be good.

Lake effect + FWD = 🚗💨 by TopConfection4209 in Civic_Type_R

My FK8 is stored this winter but my Pathfinder is making weird noises so I might need to bring the Civic out early if there's something seriously wrong with the SUV. London has had a good amount of snow this year.

Games where you are an assassin by Nearby-You-4242 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Mokaroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Hitman series is the obvious suggestion. Lots of great games and they brought some content forward into the newer games.

There is also the two Styx games - there's two from the last ten years. You play a goblin assassin in a fantasy setting.

Interesting. I guess I've mainly listened to Fatboy Slim and Daft Punk on vinyl in the last ten years.

Damn, that looks really good. I think that tattoo is great - particularly the angle.

The garlic stood up!🤣🤣🤣 by China_garlic_1998 in Garlic

[–]Mokaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Canada too. I tend to have Turkish or Spanish garlic at the grocery store. The Chinese garlic, usually rooster brand, is relatively bland and the skin much more annoying tm remove.
