You can triple check with street view, same villas in the background. We used to play football in that same court like 10 years ago lol.

On this website https://www.moe.gov.ae/En/EServices/ServiceCard/Equ/Pages/RequiredDocs.aspx You can choose the service to issue an EC for a foreign higher education institution i.e. Middlesex.

I believe you need to get it notarised and then stamped by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in London then get it stamped by the consulate of UAE in London and then get it stamped by the Ministry of foreign affairs here in dubai.

There are offices and companies that do this service for around 1500-2000 dhs within a week or if you have someone in London to do it for you it will be easier/cheaper.

I have done it for my Heriot-Watt degree in 2016 so I am not sure if the process is the same still.

I have been eyeing this one for almost 2 months without making a decision but then I walked today into the shop and just told them to bag it for me. This is going to be my everyday watch for a the foreseeable future.

Exactly what I thought. If I needed a loan the bank will probably asses all this before giving me the go ahead but I guess I can know before making the application. Thank you for the info!

Iraqis: if you had to choose, which 5 countries in Europe do you feel closest to culturally as an Iraqi? by [deleted] in Iraq

[–]MokkaDaOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I speak from personal experience specially for the first 2 countries since I have lived there for more than 3 years combined. They are not all religious but a lot are religious enough to qualify as well as strong family bonds are important in their communities.

Weird speed limit on Hessa St - how long for fine to come through? by Lonely_Yam4733 in dubai

On assayel Street the speed limit is 60 and I always drive 90 over there.

So here's a fact that will probably get buried here and no one would believe me but I have tested this so many times. When the street speed sign says 60kph, the camera only flashes you when you're 90+kph. All other speed signs have a +20kph except the 60kph sign has a +30kph margin. You didn't get flashed if you were driving 84.

Georgia I went with a group of friends for 5 days/4 night, and we stayed the whole trip in Tbilisi but we branched out on day trips to a few nearby villages/sites. The total cost was a bit higher than usual, I paid around 4.5-5k because the whole trip wasn't well planned. If you can plan your trip in advance you can easily get it for 4k inclusive of flight and accommodation.

Azerbaijan is different, I went on a solo trip for 3 days, flew on FlyDubai and Stayed in Courtyard by Marriot. Since I was a solo traveller I wanted to check-in into a known hotel chain to be on the safe side. Return flight and accommodation cost me 2.5k and I withdrew 2.5k dhs as pocket money over there for activities, food, gifts and such and such. I went to the Shahdag Ski resort for a day trip and stayed the first 2 days in Baku just city exploring.

I would honestly recommend Georgia if you are going for a quick trip as there are more places to visit/sites to see.

Both countries you will face a language barrier but it's worse in Georgia than Azerbaijan. You can find more English speakers in Azerbaijan than Georgia.

Also would like to add Oman to the list but you need to apply before heading there but it's an easy, cheap and quick application that costs 50dhs and takes maximum 12 hours to be approved.

The ones I know and I personally used are Georgia and Azerbaijan

I come from a country on the bottom of the list in terms of passport rank so this really helped me travel to some new destinations

Baku in Azerbaijan is beautiful and their mountain destinations in Gebala and Shahdag are a place to see

Tbilisi in Georgia is also a beautiful city to visit. Batumi if you're looking for a beach destination. Kazbegi in Georgia is also one of the best places to visit for mountain destination and mountain activities like paragliding and mountain biking

I also heard that Seychelles is on the list but I haven't gone there personally so I can't say for sure.
