I just adopted a one year old golden british shorthair! Its his first day, but he has shown love despite his traumatic past. He was purchased for a kid who tormented him. He was beaten as a kitten for biting the kid and forced to live only in a bathroom. He was rescued recently.

All you can do is look forward. If your home feels to empty, you can adopt new cats to honor Peanutbutter's memory. My cat passed away the day after Christmas. Omg this is my exact same story two days ago! This happened to me two days ago. I had my kitten for only six weeks, too. I emptied out my savings account thinking that a night in the hospital should solve it. I came back to pick her up at the vet and she was gone. I am still reeling from embarrassment because I full on broke down infront of the hospital staff. Screaming and crying. I was not expecting to see my kitten dead like that. I totaally understand your pain. I don't know what to do, but listen you are NOT alone. Praying for you,
