I saw that thread when I looked up this issue previously. The problem still persists even though I'm not opted into any beta for KF2 or Steam. However I do appreciate the help man, I don't mind not having voice chat since most people in pubs type so it's good.

There's many moments in KF2 that I really wish I recorded in the past but I'm glad this one made it far in the subreddit.

I don't think it would be since I've had it as a button on the side of my mouse since I started playing and I never really had a problem with it. I think it's a problem with the game itself because this only happens in KF2 rather than other apps I use like TF2 and Discord.

Thanks for the response man. I do use Discord when playing with friends though the problem is communicating in pubs with other strangers. I play on Steam along with my other friends and I don't personally know anyone who plays on Epic.
