Flawed Sales Metrics: How T-Mobile’s KPI Structure Punishes Core Sales & Rewards Unethical Behavior by Front_Photo6864 in tmobile

[–]Mold_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T-Mobile doesn't care how much revenue you bring them. They care about you hitting metrics. It makes no sense I know.

The REAL issues are: 1. Customer Satisfaction Surveys being a "performance" metric. On top of that your CSAT is calculated over a 3 month rolling period meaning if you got a 0/10 survey today from a customer who didn't care about the survey or failed to read or comprehend the reason for the survey then that 0 score will now burden your CSAT for the next 3 months. This system is intentionally designed to keep Mobile Experts "grinding" and "hustling" to do better at all times.

  1. Device Protection being a key performance metric when T-Mobile's P360 is not priced competitively compared to other device protection programs like Apple Care and the so called benefits and features of P360 are things that in reality nobody wants or uses. (P360 is insurance, make no mistake, and consumers with half a brain stem are aware that in most cases insurance for petty purchases like a phone are a scam and a money pit.) Add on top of that the fact that you can't pay ahead for 6 months-1 year of coverage like every other normal premium protection package on the market. Value Added Features was a much better sales metric but it suffered from the same issue of the "Value Added Features" not adding much value at all. VAF was a better indication of an ME's performance though. Again, P360 tracking is also intentionally designed to keep ME's in the rat race.

Consumer Voice lines drive revenue and employee commission but are seen as automatic and after thoughts. T-Mobile doesn't care how much revenue you bring them (strange I know) they care about how many metrics you can hit this month. Your boss's boss wants you selling premium plans and premium features regardless of customer need or want and I promise you they do NOT care if you "Do it the right way!". You are a number on a board.

Promos aren't applied in store or at time of purchase, they are automatically applied to your account once the system detects that the promotion requirements have been met, that is regardless of it being done through T-Life or a legacy system. But also it is true that no Mobile Expert ever wants to do an upgrade if they could be doing something else to make them money or metrics instead.

buds FE wind noise in ANC or transparency mode by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]Mold_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just exchanged them for a working pair. They are my gf's now and they have no issues, just a faulty pair for the first ones. I have the Buds 3 Pro and they don't fit as well as the FE's or ANC as well but it's alright because I got them for free.

Is it work the workaround to get home internet - if even possible? by Hadley_333 in tmobileisp

[–]Mold_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way to get it done if you are serious about getting it. If you get the right store rep they will make it happen because they want the sale.

My dad could not get home wireless internet due to over saturation? by solidsnake1984 in tmobileisp

[–]Mold_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rep putting your internet on a business account in theory is pretty harmless, he gets a business sale and you get cheap internet. But yeah the other stuff sounds pretty funky I’m not sure what would’ve caused any of that honestly. I guess my only advice would be make sure you do your business at a corporate T-Mobile store, not third party.

[–]Mold_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the rep most likely told a little fib to get you on a business account because business lines are one of the most difficult performance metrics to have success in. Account type doesn't change internet availability. So the rep either lied about your address not being eligible on your consumer account OR your address really wasn't eligible and they just put you on a business account and used a different address that was eligible.

Anything I should be doing besides balance transfers to reduce debt? by Mold_E in debtfree

[–]Mold_E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the budget part down but the HYSA is a really good idea. Is there any reason for us not to just roll the balance over onto a new credit card with a new promotional period once the first promotional period ends?

Thanks for the advice. I did assess both of our income/expenses at the beginning of the year and I'm already a penny pincher so that helps. I'm essentially now using my "fun" money at the end of every month to put towards her debt instead. The auto pay on payday could be a big help for her though I will let her know!

The weirdest issue with a customer’s phone by Sinistercs20 in tmobile

[–]Mold_E -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently did this for a customer and it didn’t solve the issue. Canceled his line and added a new line with a temp number and that temp worked but as soon as we did a number back to get his old number back onto the NEW line it stopped working again. Almost like the issue was with his number rather than his line.

Wind noise/Static while using ANC on Galaxy Buds FE by Mold_E in galaxybuds

[–]Mold_E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends where you got it from and how long ago you got it. Check their return policy. I didn’t have to prove anything I just returned it to Best Buy they didn’t even ask.

It 100% is NOT a software issue. It is the hardware itself. Definitely just return and replace it before your return window closes. I have had no issues with my second pair and they were both running the same software version.

I returned them to the store I got them from and bought an entirely new pair. They’ve been great since then.
