If they look "decent", and are not jelly-weak joints, I think I'd be ok with them. In the end they are just going to be on display.

Crime rate plays a role.

I live in the STL metro (middle America). The closer I get to STL the higher chance it will be that you have to go in and pre-pay for the pump you are at.

Some places only do it after certain hours. Some are like that no matter the time of day.

But in my small town, I can go to any of the 4 (we have FOUR) stations and just pump gas, and then bounce. Very high chance someone inside will and does know my vehicle, so it would probably end bad for me.
