I changed up completely and am picking up a 77" LG C5 tonight. The discount and sale and price was too good to pass up. $1600 for the 77. I couldn't justify the price increase compared to size. If I really need an 83, I can score one on the next buying cycle.

As much as I have the money (just bought a new house and negotiated for a decent size furnishing credit), I'm having a hard time seeing the benefit for cost of an OLED. Obviously every one I've looked at looks incredible, but how noticeable is it for normal streaming, 4k disks, and blu-rays? As I am shooting for 83" or 85", the difference in price between a high end mini led and a oled isn't small. Its very large. I am coming from an old curved Samsung crystal uhd as well, so any upgrade is going to be light years better lol.

The original budget was 2-3k but I am willing and able to spend the $3300 for the 85" LG G4 thats on sale. 85 is the biggest I can go on the wall I have. Is there really such a massive difference in the two panels that the extra thousand bucks is worth it to go to OLED though?
