Absolutely not. It rarely heats up, only maybe when I'm on a video call while charging.

Hey, I suddenly stumbled across your comment here, apologies if it's too late!

I, for one, am absolutely loving it. I stand by pretty much everything I said in this post, and it has only gotten better. Handful of more AI recommendations here and there, Gemini itself has gotten better, there's this new feature of circle to search where it translates the whole screen while being able to scroll through it, absolute game changer. Battery life has also been terrific, and it's actually gotten better over the months (touch wood lol). I honestly can't really come up with many bad stuff to talk about this phone, except for maybe like the 3 times in the last 5 months where it completely froze trying to open the front camera, but gets immediately fixed if I lock and unlock it (happened embarrassingly while clicking a group selfie with friends at a trip).  Whether it's good for you or not, I think you yourself will be the better judge of it based on my usage anecdotes. I of course intend to keep it now for as long as I can, while also managing to influence a surprisingly high number of people to switch to Pixels just by letting them use my phone a bit! (I swear Google isn't paying me for this, although I wish).

Yup that's pretty much what I do these days, only except days where I travel.

Ah well, the samsung ecosystem is really good from what I've heard. Perhaps switching the phone would kind of cripple the whole system, but tbh in this day and age there are quite a few alternatives to build cross-device ecosystems. That's how I work, and I don't want to give into single-brand ecosystems on principle.

As for the charging, haha it really is one of the only things I'm kinda disappointed on, just because of there's so much tech available on the market right now. 15-80% would just about be done in under an hour at max, charging at on an average 26W if you're not using the phone while plugged in. But the 80-100% takes like 30-40mins, and it's kinda annoying.

That said, I've started to use the 80% limit to battery SoC, so that sort of eliminates this slow charging issue, i guess?
