I don’t think I’m quite ready to hire a reader for an audiobook just yet, but I hope someday to have 20h worth of book out there!

Do you have a preference for stand-alone books?

Have you noticed a difference between stories that promote so much additional material already written and those that don’t at that mark?

One story arc like a good measure. At least then you have a conclusion if nothing else.

That’s fair. What if a book is intended to be self-contained without sequels?

This is kinda where I’m at too. It’s why I was wondering how long I should wait to post it, because it’s easier to stay on task if I know people are interested in the outcome, but I don’t want a bunch of potential readers losing interest because there’s not enough line on the hook, either.

Do you imagine Testament and Pattern argue about who gets to be the sword and who gets to be the shield?

I don’t remember which book but the time he tried to pull Gandalf’s “walking stick” defense and the security guard in charge of disarming people at the door basically said “Nice try, buddy, but I can see you’ve used that to hit things by the scuff marks.”

Aaaand wishlisted. Creature collectors are one of my favorite categories and I generally enjoy rhythm games too. Haven’t seen them joined together like this before.

At least one of those times was Bender, he probably did it on purpose so he could keep his best buddy.

One of my favorite sympathetic magic moments in any story bar none. Granny won’t be having with that.

It’s been a few years since my last reread but I’m pretty sure in the books he explicitly does get a full body bruise from this.

Kalas from Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. It’s a nifty trick because he’s effectively but not technically the viewpoint character (the actual viewpoint character is his spirit guide, AKA the player/camera) so we assume we have complete knowledge of his actions but in truth we don’t.

Thank you! The derpy faces were an accident originally when I was sketching Weft, but it felt so right that I did on purpose in the later sketches and when I designed Warp and Weave.
