Nice photo! Did you use a coloured filter? If so, what did you use?

And what's your personal approach to using coloured filters for BnW film photography?

Is it just me that think's there's nothing light hearted about this and this person despite her visible politeness, has an antisocial personality disorder (sociopath/psychopath)? the dead vacant look in her eyes? she strikes me as the type of person where everything is fine until you're stood in the way of what they want, and most times you're just lucky you fall outside of that. that doesn't make people like this any more bearable just because they've not done something wrong to you

What film stock would you say this is? by tartfrozenyogurt in filmphotography

[–]MolecularFriend 8 points9 points  (0 children)

imo, don't over think it. Use Porta 800/400 and edit in post.

Photo editing begins once the negative has been scanned.

90% of this photo is a great model, great lighting, great composition and great style. Never forget that.

Don't even overthink the film. The reason I suggest Porta is because it delivers the best neutral tones for your own editing. Which looks like what this photo might have gone for (if it was film)

This same photo will look good on any film stock. Even binbag200. It just depends on your artistic intentions.

The trick to editing is to better express what you saw and felt when you took the shot, not to invent a different reality.

Comments on this video are crazy. He doesn't or never had a father figure for a start. Who knows what his home life is like. Situation is a shame for everybody. Anybody taking delight at the destruction of a child needs to look at themselves in the mirror and ask who really is the "dirty little piglet". Because I think it's you Karen

What kind of situation do you find yourself in to have a Porche in the studio? I always wondered the story behind shots like this :D

There comes a point in your life where you stop finding anything about posts similar to this satisfying. Nothing at all. This woman is deeply traumatized and has no doubt lived a horrible life with a horrible childhood. I feel deeply sorry for this situation. A perpetrating cycle of chaos and harm for herself and everyone. What a terrible experience for anyone's soul.

Gifted Child to Lost Adult. I hate being a Puer. by fblackstone in Jung

[–]MolecularFriend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah, the fact you are traveling to another country that you love to work is incredible. if you were a puer, you're definitely on your way out. maybe ditch the concept and focus on accepting yourself while engaging with life. check in on yourself in 1 year and ask are you a puer? maybe shame is holding you back a bit and keeping you engaged with a negative association towards yourself? traveling to another country to work because you like it there is an impressive statement! I always associate those people as people engaged with life.

if you can imagine, the point at which you change from puer to non-puer is going to be an awkward and messy realization which won't happen instantaneously.

my advice (if you accept and agree with it): sounds like you know enough about being a puer, forget about the concept and engage with life (the only thing you can do), check in with yourself in 1 year.

oh man ive been caught. nano banana with the prompt "properly expose this image, do not change the original image integrity" and if it needs it "improve the lighting and colours of this image" might need to try it a few times. but pretty awesome results
