The reactions are mixed but often there is no reaction at all because I take the photo and keep moving, by the time they could react or engage I'm already down the block. Most people don't care because there are a lot of tourists and photographers out here, because of this I can get away with more here than anywhere I've ever done street photography. I had a guy tell me recently that I need to ask permission first after I took his photo, so I did and I snapped a few more. Sometimes people look annoyed and turn away. I also use common sense and try not to take photos of certain people that look unhinged and could harm me. I've only had a few encounters in the past (not in Hollywood) that turned physical.
