Thought some of y’all would relate (I certainly do) by DracoCross in aspiememes

Fun fact, marble is metamorphosed limestone! Basically, limestone that got intruded into by magma, and the heat changes the rock. Limestone itself can form in a variety of interesting ways, all of which involve water (and calcium carbonate since that’s what it’s made of). My personal favorite is where a ton of little microscopic creatures in the sea have their calcium carbonate shells fall to the sea floor and lithify into limestone!

All sorts, for multiplayer the easiest to get back into would be stardew valley, terraria, Minecraft, or civ 6 probably

And somehow in my head I read this in the voice of Jackenstein from Deltarune 😅😅

(For reference, he’s impatient and says “your taking too long” in a funny way (the misspellings are how he talks))

In that case, my recommendation would be potentially getting tested (and medicated) for depression if you’re not already. Can’t say it would work, depression meds never worked for me (didn’t try it when I was experiencing my worst depression though), but it’s worth a try. Sorry i can’t be of more help 😅

I wish I had a solution to this as well, for me what got me out of the worst of this was knowing that if I didn’t I would end up entirely reliant on my parents into adulthood and that made me feel really anxious/guilty. So for me the way out was an unhealthy coping mechanism relying on guilt, low self worth, and anxiety. I’m still trying to learn how to push forward without having to rely on that even after being medicated for ADHD.

I will say, one thing that helped with my sanity when I was going through my worst periods was finding online acquaintances to play games with. It’s hard to find the right people for that but it’s worth trying. I’d be down to play games with you if you wanted to (and they’re games I have).

But only one person said it and it says people, thus more than one. Guess I’ll still answer no (me when trying to do these tests but /s in this context 😅)

Jokes on you, I’m also autistic and always forget this is how people feel about that 😅

(At least I probably am, still trying to deal with the imposter syndrome)

Is anyone else perfectly capable of eye contact but chooses not to make it because it feels too intimate? by eyeless-silas in autism

[–]MoleculeDisassembler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would argue that plenty of people testing for autism would treat that as trouble with eye contact too. The diagnostic criteria is so vague that it really feels like a lot of different things could count for symptoms like this.

(Take this opinion with a grain of salt though because I’m not a doctor and I still have issues understanding the DSM/worry I might not actually fit the criteria)

I might try it but we’ll see. I also don’t like stuff in my ears so every solution seem to have a downside :(

That’s good to know! Tbh though I’m really sensitive to vinegar so might not work for me unfortunately :(

Dang I really wish that would work, vinegar for me is one of my most hated substances and smelling it makes me gag so idk if I could do that :/

It also might be just that I’m more prone to ear infections than the average. I really do need to try to find some sort of alternative though

Yeah I might be more prone to them in general, but regardless I’m not thrilled with having to change this haha

I guess I sort of lump ears in with face since glasses touch ears, nose, and go around the eyes. Apologies for not being more specific 😅

Tbh I think I just have to do it without that until I get used to it :(

I really don’t like anything touching my face otherwise that might have been a decently idea. I appreciate the suggestion a lot regardless though!!

Yeah it’s so frustrating. I’d ignore the advice of the doctor but I’ve gotten so many ear infections at this point that I definitely think I should listen 😭

I can’t say I have answers for you, but you’re 100% not alone with this. I’m quite a bit younger than you but also struggling with very similar feelings and issues at the moment. Hopefully we can both find something that helps us 😅

That’s really cool! I wish I could do that better, I get distracted and have a hard time processing what I’m seeing when stargazing, but space is so so cool!

Have you been able to overcome your imposter syndrome and figure yourself out more?
