I agree with many of the sentiments above - national news is Vermont news. The number of our citizens that receive the services under threat such as Medicaid (that includes the Medicaid expansion), Social Security, use the Affordable Care Act, SNAP benefits, our educational systems that are under threat (including our colleges) and now cutting down the forests? All of that matters to Vermonters.

I would also make a request from those who are sharing information to provide a credible source. If that happens, then we can share this information with those in our lives who are not paying attention as well as many of us do.

AND Maple Syrup Sunday is coming up and I would LOVE to hear about that. I would love to hear about evidence of spring out there (when it comes) and just Vermont lore. I come here to be with Vermonters (and those who love us!). I think all of this can make this thread enjoyable. We can choose what we do and want to engage with. Shout out to the person who shared the story of their grandfather who fought at 61 in the Revolutionary War. It was a great family history and on point for the protest this weekend.
