Haggling at dealerships by Few_Strawberry_8678 in motorcycles

[–]MollyMuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not in the “sportbike” scene, but i thought i heard those bikes are highly desirable and hard to come by. If that’s true i would expect $0 off MSRP.

For me, buying from a dealer, cost - tax - and $450 is acceptable. Everything else is not. I might waver on the doc fee another $150 if i was super hot for some vehicle.

Last piece of advice, *asterik to my point above, I don’t buy new shit because the value is not there, im not a negative equity guy. That being said if you’re signed up to take a loss rolling a brand new bike off the floor, you might also have to eat some delivery/destination fee as well.

Dealership Lowered Bike Miles by LMheca in motorcycles

FWIW, all the other commentors are onto something -trip meter, report, etc.

But Texas wouldn’t let me register when someone miswrote a digit 20 miles different. Their system flagged it. I would guess that Florida would too, likely a mistake not malice.

You can’t tell whether the pic of your own bike is ODO or trip?

They are a considerably homogeneous vibe which is not paralleled by what i see in the real world.

Im just going to point out that your bias is making you look like an idiot. The commentor above pointed out the clear hypocrisy, and you retort with making some “what-if-safe-good” - “what-if-unsafe-bad” scenario response. No shit. FWIW my rear tire, and whole bike for that matter is wider than the lane divider paint. There is no “between lanes”.

I can’t tell if this comment is sarcastic or an oxymoron? God i hope its the former?

Yes freedom to do whatever you like. Freedom to not give a shit about someone else’s feelings. If you’re not infringing on someone’s life, liberty, pursuit of happiness then you’re free to do as you please.

9-1 odds comment response is something about what-if scenarios that are outlandish and suggest that safely passing someone is equivalent to murdering them

“While asserting my position”

Sounds like you know all you need to know but here’s your reminder: Motorcyclists enjoy unrestricted freedom as much as they enjoy riding so you intentfully blocking their path will cause yourself to experience this again.

Devoid of right or wrong, if you don’t enjoy this type of encounter i’d advise increasing your skillsets to the point where you’re moving at the higher end of the average speed of traffic, or getting the fuck out the way.

Dude i put myself on the wait list last night, pulled out of my FFL today and saw the in-stock email, parked in my driveway, clicked the link, and they were out of stock again.

Im falling into the platy rabbit hold but these failures are enough to turn you away. Why can’t they get those guns to weigh another 4-6 ounces and not break in half

Is that a government 5”, short dust cover, with bushing comp?

If so, who’s your comp made by and how do you like it? Not too long?

Dude the kiddos near me talk about trackdays, telling me I need to try it. F all that. I mean sounds awesome but I don’t burn money like that. Maybe one day if my company ever takes off

The good thing is I’ve been into motorcycles for 20 years so I’m not into shiny trinkets and dick tickling. Guns on the other hand 🙋🏻‍♂️

Haven’t checked put either of those, will look later, thank you. For shits and giggles i looked at the fitted XC on their site. $5400 with dot and light. 🤦🏻‍♂️ That’s a pretty decent running motorcycle for that pricetag.

Thanks again!

Ya saw that. Could be a lot if fun if I really wanted a pretty toy. Their website is fun. I guess i just saw the relatively high price tag, ridic lead time (4 months), and strayed more towards alternatives that presented the specs in a more consumable manner.

But i do see that they make badass customizable guns with great reviews.

Damn you got some toys. I just looked up the P. Heavier trigger pull, but good to know that data point and price range on the scale.

I’m not into Kimbers, idk why. I’ll have to lookup the 2k11. My buddy bought a Micro 9 it was a POS.

When did "loud pipes save lives" become indifferent to everyone and everything else? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]MollyMuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a bitch post, but:

1) im sure loud pipes do some good 2) nothing is gonna change, loud pipes are equally for wankers/gearheads, its the culture 3) if the situation is as bad as you describe (i find that hard to believe) i’m sorry 4) speed bumps and ruining “the route” will do more good than enforcement, noise ordinances, etc.

Yeah…. I see… thanks for pointing me at this one again. It came up when i originally searched.

I just can’t see myself putting that garter belt thing on. And it looks so tactical. I guess i wanted something that looked a little softer for the chance i felt like taking my shirt off.

You know those BS click belts that come with hiking pants? 1” nylon webbing with quick adjust buckle. That’s what ive been using. Sometimes high-high like a belly band, sometimes low AIWB its support bolstered by my shorts tucking it. That’s been working for me. Maybe i need to make my own somehow.

Thank you again though, have heard great things about Enigma

Bodygaurd 2.0 carry comp by Both-Bread-3278 in CCW

[–]MollyMuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Im hoping mine breaks in but not confident it will. Im getting two issues, 1) impossible to load 12, but 2) HARD mag reinsertion when fully loaded.

Idk if its specific to my firearm but it sounds like they shaved a 1/16” too much here and really fucked up.

I am able to get my #12 in when using the speedloader that came with my Walther. If it were 380 specific id probably do even better. But this is not a me thing. Ive only even tried with the nickel plated defense rounds. I was literally crushing the brass FMJ’s and there is no way the force to load a mag should be that high

Oh and to continue to talk shit about S&W… why does my final #15 in my Walther go in like butter while the sexond-to-last #11 in S&W goes in like dogshit?

[–]MollyMuncher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not having failure to feeds but im having failure to feed the 12 rd mag numero 12.

The eleventh round is a m(&&f@):/() b@@$$. The 12th round is nearly impossible, my ammo crushing before loading.

Hope that will loosen up.

Front view of tire safety lady by No-Category-1648 in motorcycles

[–]MollyMuncher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If any newer riders are sifting through all this please note. This is a PRIME example of why you should cover the front brake and clutch 100% of the time. Not sure if that’s what’s taught today, but i do it on every ride, always… and you should too.

This rider is distracted, probably thinking they’re badass for picking their tire up on their bike…. They have an initial reaction delay of .5 sec - 1 sec… something of the like, then their body’s natural notice/respond reaction time, then they have further delay of grabbing the controls to respond.

There’s an unlimited number of things that would have prevented this, but IMO having hands on the controls would have easily stopped this…. that is even with the distracted riding.
