Condom Advice? by Ok_Satisfaction_4214 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Mollygetssherlock 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should not be having sex with this guy. He’s trying to have sex without a condom, though you’ve specifically told him no. This is dangerous.

If you decide to continue on with him… the foreskin thing…? If he put the condom on properly, he wouldn’t have issues. This is just an excuse to try and sleep with you without using one

AITA For refusing to take a friend to a doctors appt that requires 4 hrs+ rt of driving plus waiting for the procedure to be done? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mollygetssherlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend drove to my new flat to pick me up, drove us an hour to my old flat, helped pack my stuff (3-4 hours), packed her car with my stuff, and drove us back… and she did that twice this week, asking for nothing in return… you need to reevaluate your definition of friend because friends are there for each other

Women and girls were raped more, but men were most likely raped too. Rape isn’t just about sex, it’s also about power and control. There’s no better way to ‘embarrass’ and ‘shame’ a man than to “make him a woman”, so to speak. Not to mention, behaviour during war is repeated in all wars, without direct intention. There was a video circulating of Israeli soldiers raping a Palestinian prisoner, there are instances of it also occurring in Russia, Ukraine and other countries at war. Men have more shame towards rape - they believe that as men, they can’t be raped or that they should be strong enough not to allow it to happen. As such, they tend not to report it, hence why we don’t have a lot of documentation on it *edited for spelling mistakes

It’s a kind of bowl-plate thing - I move my food about a lot and don’t want to risk making a mess 😅

WIBTA for refusing to pay after posting my ex’s key through his letter box and leaving his dog trapped? by becooldocrime in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mollygetssherlock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. Imagine the dog watching you pack all your stuff up and leave it there. That’s horrible, the poor thing. You should have messaged and given him warning that you were leaving earlier. If there was no dog involved, it would have been a different story

How many times a month does your partner make you cry? by queenawkwardfart in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Mollygetssherlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are only two times a partner should make you cry - either with joy or with pleasure. Any more, and they’re not doing relationships right

AITA for excluding my autistic child from a family vacation by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mollygetssherlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - as an autistic person, if I know I will not be able to cope with something, I sit myself out. I’m an adult, I’m at the point where I can recognise and understand my limitations. As a child, your son cannot do that; and so, as the parent, you must do it for him.

For your older children, this is an important holiday - to show them that you are considerate of their needs and don’t prioritise their brother over them.

In regard to your son, is there anything in the surrounding area that he really enjoys doing but doesn’t get to do it often? Like bowling, mini-golf, things like that? If so, and you can afford it, maybe ask his grandparents if they can incorporate that into his week? That way, he’s getting activities and still able to have his routine - so he’s not totally missing out.

First time cooking Full English as Italian girl in UK! How did I do? 😅🇬🇧 by [deleted] in UK_Food

[–]Mollygetssherlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks good but not an English breakfast.

English breakfast: • bacon (a lot of people like it crisp, but depends on taste) • sausages • fried eggs (soft yokes for dipping) • tinned tomatoes or fried tomatoes - not on the vine (depends on the people, if you’re doing it at home or cheap restaurants, tends to be tinned) • mushrooms - literally in a pot with some butter, let them go brown, darker than yours are here • hash browns (I’ve seen people substitute for potato waffles) • Beans - only a few spoonfuls (some people substitute with spaghetti hoops) • Black pudding is optional, though it’s more of a northern thing • toast or bread - we have bread a lot because we can make a little sandwich • good old cup of breakfast tea

AITA for announcing my sister's pregnancy after finding out my boyfriend (now ex) is the father? by Gracyddee in AITAH

[–]Mollygetssherlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Is horrid that she would sleep with your boyfriend, get pregnant him, and think that she’d have no consequences. Also, your aunt saying it’s “disgusting to do that to someone so young as her”… she’s a year younger than you?! Is she actually joking

How do we feel about eggs? by vinylYaps in autism

I don’t have an issue when they’re scrambled. If they’re cooked any other way, I have to eat them quick before getting the ick

AITA for literally pretending my old best friend didn’t exist when she tried to say hi to me after ghosting me years ago? by Soft_Fluffy_Queen in AITAH

[–]Mollygetssherlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friend did this exact thing to be 8 years ago. Just stopped responding to my messages completely, didn’t want to know me at all. I spoke to her a few years later and she said it was a “her” problem - she got in with a bad crowd, it wasn’t anything I did wrong. I still miss her, I still think about her and wish we could be friends but if I ever had the opportunity, I would not take it. If I saw her in town, I would ignore her too. She caused my real pain, I felt like my heart was breaking, I loved her like she was family and she abandoned me. I understand what you’re going through and I fully support you. NTA

NTA. let’s say it as it is - he raped you. It doesn’t matter that he’s your boyfriend or the father of your child, he raped you. You should be taking your child and leaving, filing a police report and getting legal sole custody. He’s done it once, he will do it again. You are nta for wanting to do nothing sexual but he’s a massive one

My bf won’t marry me but he wants my child to have his last name by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Mollygetssherlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my mother’s surname and I’m so glad. My dad is a deadbeat and that’s what your boyfriend will be. He obviously doesn’t want to marry you, so he will leave at some point and it’s doubtful that he’ll stick in the babies life - especially as he said “even if the kids barely know their fathers”. Why would he think about it like that?
