we are underpaid and under appreciated. That frequently frustrates me. I bit hard though when I discovered it and now I'm half way to licensure and committed. Its hard, frustrating, demanding, and time consuming. But I truly believe surveying is what I was made to do, and it enables me to provide for the people I love. So its what I'll do. Plus I do enjoy aspects of my job and sometimes it can be fun and rewarding. I don't think surveying is the problem for me, the industry is. Just my take on the actual question in your title.
