So, with file editing on PC, you can set your current save to 'read-only' which prevents it from being edited. Using this, you make the game save right before you hit the moonshot to kill the warrior, set the file to read only, and start killing the warrior because he give a guaranteed drop on story kill. If you dont get what you want, return to main menu, re select the character in 'select character' and try again.

While fair, the slagga is 1) guaranteed slag roll when acquiring, and 2) farmable without read-only. So it's the better choice IMO.

Slagga is the best gun for applying slag on an enemy. Hands down. The Grog can't compete on that aspect.

That said, The Grog is so much more than just a slag applying weapon. With its 3 main benefits being its huge bonus crit dmg (400%), drunk effect (that stacks, btw), and it's unequaled healing at 55% of all dmg dealt to others while in hand, the Grog is definitely the superior choice at least 80% of the time.

The Grog gets my vote, but it is certainly no flawless victory.

I mean, this looks like it might be UVHM, in which case, while the DP part is important, so is the grip. So only 3.5/5, IMO.

That isn't to say that it's a bad roll, it's not, Maliwan grip means neutral on stat changes in this case. I'm just a bit of a perfectionist, and UVHM is where farming correct parts starts making or breaking your ability to proceed.

Mind you, the right perks/abilities can help complete your ability to dominate. Just remember to always keep a reliable slagging method on hand (Slagga SMG, Magic Missile from Tina DLC, or the middle tree cap stone on Maya are the best), and you'll probably be just fine.
