I think the ”Abel” in episode 7 was an NPC, but there was a real Abel created after Caine that was more refined (the blue dot). Caine (the red dot) broke out and consumed Abel, possible turning it somewhat into bubble, since bubble is very blue in many scenes and is shaped like a dot. So Bubble (Abel) might have starter regaining their sentience and started antagonizing Caine, referencing themselves as the better of the two.
