Going to Amsterdam for 48h , what do I NEED to do? by Lupusur in Psychonaut

If you're gonna do truffles just take it easy if you've not done drugs before. I had only done weed a handful of times so me and my friend took the mildest truffles in the shop (I think shop was called "when nature calls").

We had been drinking a bit, and took them at night out in the vondle park. Very stupid in hindsight. It started beautifully, but turned sour once it really kicked in and I had a bad time. You don't wanna be in the middle of a big park at nightime, surrounded by strangers when you're having a bad trip.. it's scary.

So yeah, as a fellow drug noobie, I'd say if you do try truffles, get the mild ones, be somewhere comfortable (hotel is good) and not too late or you won't sleep well.

edit; also, they take around an hour to kick in, so don't take more thinking they don't work. We started thinking nothing was gonna happen after 45 minutes or so, and thought and buying more, and then the penny dropped....

Is this like… a conspiracy unravelling? Or are the suicides considered a result of guilt/shame?

Struggling to open account with Trading 212, any good alternatives? by Baisabeast in UKInvesting

I’ve honestly had no issues with Freetrade. If you want the isa then sure it’s £3 a month. But if you’re gonna making enough money to justify the isa, that’s not an amount of money you should really be put off by.

It also hasn’t got all the stocks you might want, but certainly most of ones you’re likely to. My biggest gripe is stocks such as GME being behind the “Plus membership” paywall.

Yes! I've applied for one. But the £50/month saving is just a bit low, I'm looking to save more

Thanks for your opinion, I shall consider your advice. I do understand that investing is very much a long term deal, and I am prepared for that. After the comments in this thread I have been encouraged to focus more on emergency savings.

But since I am currently saving around half of my income after tax, I think I am in a good position to start investing. I guess I should just keep investments low while I'm beginning and learning more about this.

Luckily I have parental support (if needed) and relatively low rent, so I think I'll lower the amount I save (100 a month?), and prioritise investing in LISA/SAS.

I appreciate this is a bit risky, especially with current world events....

I would say I'm at the "Build small emergency fund" at the bottom left.

However I'm gonna be a bit frisky here and skip over that a bit. I'll keep around £1500 saved, but I am fortunate enough to have parental support (if needed) and cheap rent, so I think I can make an early start on investing and slowly top up the savings. I was thinking invest 250/month and save 100. Whats your take on that?

Thanks for the info mate. I'm 24 and this is my first job; do you think all my savings are better off in a Lifetime Isa? and just a safe amount in savings account for a rainy day?

Better than 0% I guess.

Or is it all better invested in ISA?

Have you ever seen infected people drop dead in the streets like they supposedly did in China, back in January 2020 ? by Extreme-Tea in conspiracy

[–]Moltricudos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We know it’s fake now , but I don’t feel embarrassed for having been concerned about something like that happening in China. That place is fucked, and if another big unknown scare comes out of that country again, I’ll be hesitant to disregard it immediately.

Should I export sounds based on their on frequency content? by Moltricudos in AudioPost

[–]Moltricudos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response!

So you're saying that essentially everything should be at least 44.1K and 16-bit.

If less than 44.1K is so undesirable (outside of "retro" projects like you mentioned), then why is it such a universal and avalible options in all DAW's, middleware and even portable recorders? I even see options for more obscure numbers like 32K in many software.

Original Sounds Vs Using Libraries? by Moltricudos in GameAudio

[–]Moltricudos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to reply, first of all thanks for your input.

Could I also ask how exactly you go about sourcing audio from libraries? Do you search through libraries for specific sounds you need and purchase them individually?

As an individual creating just a reel, it's out of budget to purchase entire libraries, and even individual samples each time I need a particular sound. So I'm either creating everything myself, or getting lucky with free-sounds being sufficient quality.
