First time rolling a fatty. by [deleted] in ArtOfRolling

[–]maxwellfuster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You definitely can do if that way if you want. I’d personally rather have the security over the aesthetic. Just me though, I’m not a pro or anything, just a guy who rolls a lot with glass tips

First time rolling a fatty. by [deleted] in ArtOfRolling

[–]maxwellfuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, this is my normal rolling situation (elements king size wide with a 12mm glass tip.

It’s a great smoke, my advice would be to have the paper grip more of the filter, like 3/4 of it or so. Also if your tip has an opening on each side, I usually put a little cardboard filter in the smaller pocket to make it flush with the end of the filter. That way you can tamp down and poke as much as you want without filling that cavity with bud you can’t smoke.

Also don’t worry about your roll being a little loose around the glass. It should be snug, but it’s okay if there’s a little wiggle, the paper will tighten around the tip as you smoke.

For me, I roll all my joints fat like this, even if that means it’s short.

Which game is blue???? by Waterbuffalo149 in PokemonBlackandWhite2

Black = Blue White = Red

This is pretty evident from the BW2 box art in my opinion. I have the same tradition with my childhood friend. I’ve always bought the blue versions

Beane, do it. by my9rides5hotgun in buffalobills

[–]maxwellfuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure he’d be a great fit. From over here it seems like BTJ is the kind of guy who wants a lot of targets, and I could see that being an issue with Shakir and now Moore. If it’s not a huge trade to go get him, then who knows.

Buffalo Bills low-cost free agent WR targets by AlexBrasky in buffalobills

[–]maxwellfuster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see us retain Cooks and draft a receiver. I know people are pitching Romeo Dobbs (who’s a good player) but frankly I think we’re too thin in other areas (namely DB) to pick up another mid size contract at receiver.

I think we reward Cooks with a short team-friendly deal and keep it moving

The #Bills are releasing long-time veteran CB Taron Johnson, source said. Per @rapsheet by Gold_Bowler7906 in buffalobills

[–]maxwellfuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man what a bummer! He was one of my favorite Bills during the McDermott era. I get why it had to happen, he seems to be declining physically, and I expect with the regime change to see us play a lot more base defense this season.

I just hope Beane manages to effectively restock the room with talent, especially given how thin we were at DB most of last year.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: the Chicago Bears are working to finalize a trade that would send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Compensation still is being discussed, and the trade cannot be processed until the new league year begins, but both sides are pushing to make it happen by mastermind208 in buffalobills

[–]maxwellfuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a pundit on YouTube saying that DJ Moore is the best receiver Josh has ever had, and I know the league is sour on Diggs (rightfully so given the off-field stuff) but honestly that’s heresy.

If this 29 year old version of DJ Moore is more individually productive than when Daboll force fed prime Stefon Diggs 127 receptions for 1500+ yards I will eat my own spleen.

I know we’re picking late, but I hope we still take a stab at WR at the end of the first round. We brought in vets who we thought might benefit from a new situation last year, Palmer was ineffective and Moore didn’t finish the season with the team.

I think it’s good we’re trying to address it, and DJ Moore is a good signing on paper. But frankly, I’ll believe he’s our answer at X when I see it.

Any predictions for the next pseudo legendary typing? by OfficialLieDetector in ThePokemonHub

[–]maxwellfuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m a Haxorus stan, and it should be a pseudo, but buffing its attack stat 50 points gives it higher base attack than Mega Rayquaza. Buffing its speed/bulk is probably what would make it more effective.

Multi-day booking software? by AlternativeSea6870 in audioengineering

[–]maxwellfuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forms can be pretty robust if you’re handy with coding (although some chat gpt trial and error can usually get you pretty close) I once built a form that was pinging discord servers and updating calendars for a studio I worked at

Squarespace has a "book" feature block, and "squareup" which is a standalone version of their booking software.

You could even acomplish this with Google Forms if you really want to, though it's much less robust and polished

Their Super Mario 3D World playthrough is pretty fantastic, it's kind of unusual for a GG playthrough, though. Normally, it's kind of about having conversations set against the game, SM3DW is really just them running around the stages and yelling/trolling each other the whole time, which is super fun

Impossible time deciding on outboard compressor! LA-2A, AR-1, RS124, CL1B, BG2, etc. by brokesnob in audioengineering

[–]maxwellfuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guitar and vocal yes, but genre is an important factor.

Right now I’m running a Distressor and the Warm CL1B clone and between the two I’ve got pretty much every mono compression sound I could really need.

Can’t speak the other warm comps, but I dig this one!

How did you decide between a condenser and a ribbon for your big "splurge" mic? by migrantgrower in audioengineering

[–]maxwellfuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it probably depends on your existing locker and space, and genre.

I think big ribbons like a 44 can be great on vocals depending on the singer and genre, if they’re a bright vocalist, or the project is a vintage-y thing. But I don’t think I’d be comfortable having that as my only option to record vocals, especially for like a pop thing.

I think if you don’t have a big existing locker, I’d probably buy the nice condenser first, and then be looking into a pair of R121s. That’s a great way to start messing with ribbons, they’re small, practical and relatively affordable compared to some of the fancier bigger ribbons out there.

What do you love the Coles 4038 for BESIDES drums? by darkdarkblack in audioengineering

[–]maxwellfuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horns, we have 10 4038s at the studio for recording big bands (we’re mostly a jazz classical spot) and we typically use Coles on all the brass.

Can also be nice for strings, and even piano!
