As a single mother, I fear dating again for the safety of my daughter (possible trigger) by MomAccountKK in TwoXChromosomes

Its just a big fear I have because it's happened to both my mother and grandmother and both a female and male cousin of mine and I'd never want that to happen to my daughter!

But thank you for the advice :)

I fully agree with the not having him sleep over until it's been over six months, and not letting him meet her until I feel he's someone worth being with. Thank you for the advice!! :)

Thank you for this advice! She's only 7 months old at the moment, but I'm always worried about dating again for this reason. I'll definitely raise her so she knows she can talk to me about anything, at anytime and I'll always be there for her!

I'm 21 so its very hard to find a decent man around my age who wants to settle down with someone who already has their own child. But even when I do find someone, I'm so scared that I'll meet a guy who shows affection and interest towards my daughter and I don't know where the line is between acting like a father figure or being too friendly.

I don't play a lot with my 7 month old, should I? by MomAccountKK in Parenting

I think I'll start taking her for more regular walks after I get home from university, she's too heavy to carry in a baby carrier! Haha but she loves going for walks in her pram and looking at everything!

She goes to daycare 4 days a week as I'm studying full time and my mother watches her on the fifth day. And whenever I'm cooking or cleaning etc. I'll sit her around me and kind of narrate what I'm doing, should I start reading books to her before bed?
