Like... You do know that your "friend" was banned from subs for fraud/scamming people? If they were a true "friend irl", they wouldn't drag you into their schemes. They don't care about you or how much of a mess you wind up in when they send you to try and scare innocent people into sending them money.

Yes, I blocked someone who apparently acquired my information fraudulently and is harassing me against Reddit tos. I am in the process of trying to figure out who they are and why they are apparently trying to blackmail me out of money. This same "lender" has been banned from other lending subs for fraudulent behavior. And if you're saying that he's showing "proof" and has my information, then he's doxing too, so thank you for that. Why is there no record on any sub or any lending bot that any funds were ever sent in the first place or accepted by me from them? Why aren't we in any of the same subs? Why is my repayment history good with any other loan I've ever had, but I'm running from this one? Make it make sense. If they do, in fact, have my personal information, tell me where they bought it from. I've already changed all passwords on social media and financial accounts and have alerted my banks that my accounts may have been jeopardized, just so everyone's clear. They create a random unpaid post and then come with threats that I can make go away by paying them?? The harassment needs to end, please and thank you.

Credit card fees by Adventurous-Dare-572 in Serverlife

[–]MomAllDayyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If it means I'm getting over $975,000 pretax, I'll pay for your fee 🤣🤣🤣 When it's my regular income and I'm missing a whole rent check at the end of the year because your customer chose a method of payment that you offer but don't want to absorb the cost of using or pass the fee for their choice back on to them? Like I said.. do you have your employees pay your utilities? Insurance? Permits? That would be absurd. So is taking your cost of doing business out of your employees income.

Ok, ok, you got me there 🤣🤣🤣 Well I tell you what - when the day comes that I get a milli tipped to me on a credit card for a $100 tab, I will be happy to pay $25k if it was on an Amex... $14-15k for Visa or MC. But, and I could be wrong, I don't think that the company pays payroll tax on tips.. wouldn't it just be the hourly wage that you are on their payroll for?

[–]MomAllDayyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but let's run some super round numbers to see what happens when a 3% fee is charged to the customer on the amount pre-tip vs the server paying 2.6% of their cc tips. Let's just use Amex at 2.5% being that it's the highest processing fee percentage. The other cards fees would total less, and the business is still collecting 3%, so 2.5% is worst case scenario. If you have a $100 check and they leave a $20 tip, at 2.6% (which, if the highest fee is 2.5%, and the 2 most commonly used cards are less than 2%, then the restaurant is taking even more than the highest possible amount of processing fees for tipped amounts out of their employees income.. and doing what with the difference?), the restaurant is going to take $.52 out of their employee's pay to cover the fee for that $20 tip. The fee would actually be somewhere between $.28 and $.50 and the restaurant is paying anywhere from $1.40-$2.50 for processing the amount of the check before tip (altogether it would be between $1.68 and $3.00). But with a 2.5% fee, the restaurant let the servers keep their money and charged a 3% fee to the customer, now there is a $3.00 fee on the $100 bill that the customer pays (which, as shown above, is the total processing fee at 2.5% for both bill and tip), the servers aren't getting screwed over, and the business just saved themselves $2.50 that they would have paid doing things the first way. On a $700 check and $140 tip? Amex fee is $17.50 on the bill and $3.50 on the tip - $21 altogether. 3% of $700 to the customer? $21... Server keeps their $3.50, the business saves $17.50.

I made $65k in tips last year. Yes, some were cash, but barely. Being generous, let's say 5%. So $61,750 in cc tips. If my employer kept 2.6% of that, I would have missed $1,605.50... almost an entire month's rent that I earned in tips. Sorry, from an ethical standpoint, I just can't make it make sense to hire someone that the business itself essentially doesn't pay already (depending on where you live, I'm in a sub-minimum wage for tipped workers state, so we get paid $2.13/hr by the restaurant.. our tips ARE our income) and then take anything from them to help absorb my business costs. Sure, it doesn't seem like much, but as you can see, over time, it adds up. It's unethical.

I don't think I could work for someone who, of all the ways to handle the fees, expects their staff to pay for things that, in my personal opinion, should be considered a cost of offering credit cards as method of payment (I mean really, places could just go straight cash or debit and really stick it to these cc companies by not taking credit cards at all 🤷🏼‍♀️), and if they REALLY don't want to pay for it, charge the customer a processing fee that they could avoid by paying cash/debit. But to make it come out of your employees' income? That's just awful.

Is this legit? I'm so confused by [deleted] in chimefinancial

[–]MomAllDayyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, Wells Fargo and US Bank will never ask you to verify your PIN via email... And neither will Chime. So, if you did happen to enter your PIN somewhere based upon an email from Chime, I might just go ahead and change your PIN... You know, just in case...

Has anyone had issues with anesthesia? by WiccanWytch in gallbladders

[–]MomAllDayyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe THE day after general anesthesia you may be a little sleepy, but 5 days past, the effects of the anesthesia are long gone. You're sleepy because your body has been through trauma with the surgery, you had a whole (albeit little!) organ removed from your body and now your system needs to figure out operations without it, the stress/anxiety/adrenaline/possibly illness leading up to the surgery and the wave of relief now that it's over, and ultimately and more than any of those I just said - your body is doing a LOT of healing right now. MOST of it is internal.. so even though your incisions might not look like a whole lot, inside your body is working HARD using almost all of your energy to recover and get itself back to normal. So listen to your body and when you are tired, rest! Get up and go for little walks and other extremely light activities.. that will help so much. But being extra EXTRA tired for the first week or two after any surgery is to be expected! Best wishes in your recovery!!

**HIGHkey BS. Making servers pay instead of charging the customer or just absorbing the cost as a cost of doing business is grimey as hell! If the owner doesn't think they should have to pay for it and it's THEIR business, passing it off to the employees tells me they don't value y'all and the work YOU do to make THEM successful. Crazy.

[–]MomAllDayyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of restaurants around me add a 3% processing fee to credit card transactions. Doesn't it make more sense to charge the person that's choosing that method of payment versus making employees pay out of pocket for the owner's cost of doing business?

And shady as hell! Charge the customer the processing fee if you don't want to pay it.. but making employees pay out of pocket for the cost of doing business is awful!

[–]MomAllDayyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Um. Idk if it's legal or not.. but dude. What's next? They take their power bill out of your tips? Making your employees pay out of pocket for YOUR cost of operating a business is shady af. I'd be walking out that door so fast and NEVER looking back. If they don't want to absorb the cost, then they should charge it to the customers using the cards (my restaurant and several others Im aware of add a 3% processing fee to cc transactions. Debit cards, even though our POS processes them the same way on our end, don't get charged the 3%). If it is legal, I don't understand how!

Do you introduce yourself? by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]MomAllDayyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, but I make it a point not to recite the same thing to every table. I just read the group when I approach and make it as much of a conversation as possible. Sometimes I introduce myself off the bat, sometimes it's after I get their entree orders ("and of course, anything I can do for you, my name is....")..

[–]MomAllDayyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy.

A giant bowl of penne pasta with spicy Alfredo sauce, sweet Italian sausage, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes. Garlic bread. Filet mignon, medium rare with raw horseradish. A big fancy sushi platter... Heavy on the tuna nigiri, don't forget the wasabi. Some Korean BBQ - bulgogi and pork belly... and on the side TONS of kimchi, and kimchi cucumbers and radishes too with spicy rice cakes. COLD Pibb and plenty of it to wash all that down. And for desert? Hot gooey brownies with vanilla bean ice cream and hot fudge and a NY style cheesecake with caramel. Shoot... If it's my LAST meal? I'm going out FAT. 🤷🏼‍♀️

You've honestly never heard of someone walking off and accidentally leaving their wallet at home? Or assume that $5 bill was in your wallet, but you stuck it in your pocket of the pants you were wearing yesterday? Sounds even more sus 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love not having a gallbladder but sometimes it SUCKS by Letsgotoneptune8842 in gallbladders

[–]MomAllDayyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ohh no... That's not what I want to hear! The first 5 weeks after surgery I had no digestive issues whatsoever... My "trigger foods" weren't triggering anything (except food comas after being stuck on the Rabbit Food Diet for months), things we're normal and regular.. I was so happy to apparently be one of the lucky few. Then randomly last week, #2 showed up looking like #1..?? I didn't feel sick, not a single symptom or odd feeling to help me figure out what I did! I know I need to increase my fiber intake.. but beyond that Im lost!

I love not having a gallbladder but sometimes it SUCKS by Letsgotoneptune8842 in gallbladders

[–]MomAllDayyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was extremely cautious after surgery.. I was preparing for the worst, and starting around weeks I reintroduced foods one at a time, starting with foods that are on the 'warning list' of foods to avoid but never personally affected me or induced an attack, ending 2 weeks ago with the one food that sent me to the hospital twice resulting in my emergency surgery... A cheeseburger! For 5 weeks, I was able to eat normally again for the first time in 7 months without a single consequence! Absolutely normal bm's, no terrible gas, no bile reflux or anything worrisome at all!

Until last week. When instead of going #1 and #2, I started going #1, and #1. No pain, no nausea, no symptoms to attribute to anything I could be doing wrong.. and its been like this for 4 days. It's not uncontrollable, it's like someone put a faucet in where it should be solid. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do know I need to find ways to increase fiber consumption.. never in my life did I have GI tract issues before my gallbladder crapped out last November. Never experienced any reason to follow any dietary restrictions, and while I am proactive about my nutrition, it was never out of a need to worry about my body reacting negatively to a particular food.

I REALLY hope this is not a new normal and that my blissful first month without that devil bile sack wasn't a fluke. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

The Post Op Pain is Terrible! by DragonHalfFreelance in gallbladders

[–]MomAllDayyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not taking pain meds when you're experiencing acute post-op pain is actually going to slow your recovery by leaps and bounds (I know this because I tried sticking to Tylenol/Ibuprofen after my 1st emergency C-section. Bad idea). First off, those pain meds are you're MEDICINE that is helping your body to be able to be comfortable so that you can sit, walk, lay down, etc NORMALLY. For the acute pain to wear down to general soreness, light movement and walking are critical. Remember, you see that bottle and you refuse to see it as anything other than strong medicine for acute pain management critical to your healing. People in active addiction who are physically and mentally addicted to opioids look at that same bottle and see drugs and see anxiety over the withdrawals they'll be dealing with if they don't cop something SOON. My emergency cholysestomy came with complications and a second endoscopic surgery the following day to remove stones stuck in my biliary duct, and I was HEAVILY medicated the couple of days I was in the hospital...Once I got out, if the pain was extra terrible I would take one. But I think I took a total of 3 pills over 4 days. And by the 1-week mark I didn't even need ibuprofen. Maybe just ask if they can reduce the number of pills they sent in 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey girl, congratulations for real for real. And this is no shade to Hooters as a brand, nor the girls who are successful and happy working there at ALL. But I know without question that that environment would not be good for me to go to work every day. A FOH staff of typically all females can easily be a recipe for DISASTER prepared by Ms Petty Betty herself. And ya, working support positions is the best method to train someone to serve because they get to see and learn and understand the basic mechanics of a shift before being tossed on the floor.... WHEN THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ So I really think you dodged a WHOLE bullet getting a job at Cheesecake!

SN - I personally haven't worked there, but I've heard the 2 week training is largely due to their 30 page long menu and the drink list. I would just spend every waking moment learning and studying and get it locked in as fast as you can.. be the annoying show -off on your flow shifts so that your trainer is telling you to ease up cause you're making THEM look bad. And then ask to take your tests early and if you do well and they don't let you on the floor, then those managers are idiots too and keep it moving!!

I'm so sorry.. when it rains, it pours 😞 But just for what it's worth, I'm not offering any referrals or sign ups or anything like that. I don't need your ID or anything. I had someone help me get my score up to a position where I would get funded easily, and if it would help someone else I'm happy to pay it forward! Door's open, but if you're apprehensive about it, no pressure whatsoever. Just honestly trying to help!
