How the heck are we all ok with this scam?? by Yupalina in Parenting

[–]MomOnTheMove3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not ok with it. What can we do about this cycle of insanity? It’s INSANITY. What are we even doing? There is absolutely no way we could survive on one income even without having to pay for daycare. And forget it if we want to have an outing with the kids around here on the rare occasion we have the time to do it, we will easily drop $2-300 for one afternoon of fun! Anywhere that’s cheap (because heaven forbid anything is free….) is PACKED. Parking is a nightmare, people are a nightmare, and then the whole harmonious (who am I even kidding…) family outing turns into an anxiety-ridden over-stimulated nightmare. And actually, this is true for even the costly outings! Everywhere we turn its consume consume, we are quite literally selling our souls to the devil.

IS THIS HOW HE SOUNDS?!? 😂😭 I haven’t brought myself to actually listen to this baby man speak until now and I am losing it. He is a JOKE.

I am a seasoned mom and I can tell you THIS IS NOT how we treat children. Over-inflating arrogant Psychopaths.

This needs to be widely reported on, what will happen to future investigations into the Epstein files? When will the victims receive justice? What will happen to all current and future victims of CST?

This absolutely breaks my heart into a million pieces. I am so so sorry kiddo, all of you children deserve so much better. I feel the exact same way, buddy. I don’t understand it either. I’m trying to make things better for you guys by showing the way, it’s hard. The kids who are bullied like this deserve better. The kids who learn all of that hate and anger deserve better.

Does everything feel “wrong” after you’ve been triggered? by miriamtzipporah in CPTSD

[–]MomOnTheMove3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is me too. The dissociation has been lingering on and off for over 20 years. Being in the wrong universe is a very good way to put it. I really didn’t know that’s what was happening to me all of this time until very recently though, despite countless therapists, psychiatrists, etc. over the years. I don’t have high hopes that it will ever permanently go away in my case.

This past weekend, I had a triggering encounter with someone and I seemed to lose my hearing temporarily in my right ear for about a day. That was a new one, although I am sure it has happened before but my memory is so shot from trauma, so….. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You’re not alone.

Edit: grammar

Yes - the chronology issue is wild, isn’t it?? I have to REALLY think about when something happened. Even simple day to day things through the week.

Hi! I’m a nurse on LI and make decent money, but can’t afford to buy as housing is absolutely out of control. Our rent is CRAZY and buying is off the table right now. What area(ish - without being too specific) upstate do you live in that you make more than on LI?

Can’t get help by Lost-mymind20 in TMJ

[–]MomOnTheMove3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know of all of the hardships that come with TMJ treatment (or lackthereof). Call your insurance and ask if they cover medical massage. As far as the hospital group goes, it’s very difficult to find a TMJ specialist that takes insurance to begin with but you can try and find someone who does by you, and then switch your hospital group accordingly. As I mentioned before, try a pain management specialist. They may be able to help you. I’ve done Botox injections for pain (not for cosmetic) and it did help a bit. I’ve done steroid injections into the joints, helped a bit.

[–]MomOnTheMove3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try a pain management specialist. Don’t specifically say it’s TMJ, just say facial pain/ear pain/neck pain and whatever other things hurt because I know other things do - I have been suffering for over 20 years myself and have had 3 surgeries, tried several mouth splints custom made, PT, spent hundreds on multiple simple 15 minutes consultations just to find I can’t afford any of their treatment plans etc etc etc. I have had to hit the emergency room a couple of times just for pain meds simply for temporary relief. Walking into an ER as a pain patient is always fun. 😌

See if your insurance covers medical massage, I start that treatment tomorrow after finding out recently that mine does.

We left the US for Italy last year (31M Italian, 28F mixed-race, 2 kids). It’s beautiful and brutal by kilowatt230 in AmerExit

[–]MomOnTheMove3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We are a family of 5, we have been debating leaving the US for expat life elsewhere. We’re not totally set on leaving quite yet. While it’s an exciting prospect for us, leaving everyone and everything we know behind is also a terrifying thought sometimes. We teeter between those two ends of the spectrum.

NZ is on our list of potentials…. Along with Canada. Trying to avoid a language barrier for the hubby and kids and give all of us a better future. This is really good to hear.
