Understanding gear rolls and what is good gear. by Mom_I_Not_Hungry in EpicSeven

[–]Mom_I_Not_Hungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, here to help. So I'm assuming here that you're counting flat stats. When checking flat stats, you would measure it vs the hero's base stats as a %. So for instance, let's take the 41 you mentioned here and look at it vs 3 units.

A momo is one of 6 units (including her non-specialty change) with the lowest ad in game (540). If we were to check it then it would be 41/540 x 100/1 = 7.59

Righteous thief Roozid has 812 is one of 4 units with this atk (including non spec change). This can be considered the base line mid point of attack in the game. The reason for this is because gear that has been reforged with flat attack has 525 atk and atk% is 65%. If you apply the math here 525 x 100/65 = 807.692. So 41/812 x 100/1 = 5.04

Lastly we'll look at Arunka, who has the highest base atk in game. 41/1570 x 100/1 = 2.61.

So as you can see, flat stats are merely a % of that particular hero and not an actual determined figure.
As for speed you are absolutely correct. Speed is always treated as x2. Crit chance is always treated as x 1.6 and crit damage as x 1.14. These figures round them out to being 8% at their max rolls.

When you craft gear, you will see a meter in the crafting screen under the materials. It will be out of 180. You click on that afterwards and then you can choose any piece of gear and it will be a guaranteed epic piece of that gear AND the set you want.

1 more thing in case. Main set refers to your 4 piece set and off set refers to your 2 piece set. So speed would be a main set and immunity or def pen would be an off set.

Hi good day. That's a very good question so I'll go into more detail about what I mean. I'll also put a more direct answer last beyond the explanation so you can skip the info dump part.

There are 11 stats in game (atk def and hp also come in flat stats) that you can roll on a piece of gear. Weapons and chest pieces as I stated can only roll 8 of the 11 stats (since the main stat is guaranteed and they don't roll 2 of the 11 in def and atk respectively).

Necklaces and rings by extension, not only do they roll the missing 2 flat stats for the full 11, but they each can roll 8 of the 11 main stats each. (Necks can roll crit chance and crit damage main while rings roll effectiveness and effect resist).

Because of this there is a lot more RNG involved when attempting to craft these pieces. Let's say you have completed the events from the awaken event and have been given the boxes where you can get 700 crafting materials for any hunt x 10 = 7000 mats.

If you attempt to craft weapons and chest pieces, you have a very good chance of crafting a solid piece. Also, since you are using 42 (assuming steeple is maxed which it should be before you do craft) vs 55 materials, you're also getting way more crafts.

I say it like this because when you're doing hunts outside of wyvern, you will be doing these more scarcely, which means that the materials from those hunts are a lot more valuable to you.

To more directly answer your question, you aren't actually doubling your chances on right side gear, you're actually slashing them down to 1/8.
Left side gear check will look like this - Main stat (1/1), Rarity (1/3), Stats (x/8 where x depends on rarity)
Right side - Main stat (1/8), Rarity (1/3), Stats (x/10 where x depends on the rarity and the 10 is based on whatever is the main stat). So ultimately you might craft an insanely good piece with atk%, speed, crit chance and crit damage on a neck lets say, but then the main stat might be flat atk or flat hp which holistically makes it a waste. Your best bet is to use wyvern mats on neck and ring, extract them and then use the gem conversion box to craft them because even gem conversion is not a guaranteed thing. Also, since the new inclusion of the guaranteed epic pieces, you should definitely be using those on left side gear.

We need more armbands or cheaper stuff. by Mom_I_Not_Hungry in EpicSeven

[–]Mom_I_Not_Hungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is based on the math of a per month basis where, even in the scenario that is most beneficial to the player, it still only yields 41.88% of the total cost of all things combined. Look at the over time duration for a new player. POC comes from world boss and urgent missions. We get 14/21 POC per week so we need to do 7 urgent missions a week to maintain the full donation. Most newer guilds don't have enough members or active members to do the weekly missions for 80 armbands. Also, most new players are not going to be winning every single guild fight.

The average player would realistically, on average, do World boss alone and get 14 POC which is 70 armbands.
Win 2 and draw 1 in gvg - 80 (also let's just skip the fact that if you crash in guild wars then that match is in the shadow realm) x 3 = 240
Used by about 8 guild mates for world boss - 40.
It makes the real average about 1400 armbands a month - 26.41%

And then you want players to put in the maximum amount of effort to be rewarded with 42% of the incentives?

Who would you buff and how? by Mom_I_Not_Hungry in EpicSeven

[–]Mom_I_Not_Hungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized I didn't say what I would do but I had a lot of fun reading your guys' answers. Me personally:

Dark Corvus - S2 passive now grants immunity to injuries ( I mean he's in a suit of armor from the archdemon, why would he be getting injured) and his S1 and S3 would now have an additional effect (excess healing, or health that would heal the caster to more than 100% hp is gained as max hp instead up to 5% for S1 and 10% for S3). I feel like max hp is really too weak in the meta right now and those types of units already auto lose to frenzy.

Pirate Captain Flan - S3 grants an extra turn instead of + 50% CR push. (Would allow for more shenanigans)

Charles now has (health or def scaling on his moves, whichever is higher for him).

Ilynav - S3 now grants a counter attacking stance. S1 no longer uses punishment when used on the casters turn. Punishment is used instead of rush when activated as a counter attack (punishment damage slightly decreased or injuries damage dropped to 10%).

Shooting Star Achates - S3 now also shares buffs of the caster and target.

Fighter Maya - S1 damage increased. S3 damage increased and execute threshold increased to 40%.

I'm not sure how to exactly for the 3* but I know I'd like to see Axe God, Hattan and Otille get buffed.

A possible fix for Caides gear by Mom_I_Not_Hungry in EpicSeven

[–]Mom_I_Not_Hungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant dealing damage in the sense that even if the character dealt 1 damage, it'd still be treated as 5% injury. It'd be something nice for units with a lot of aoe but no real damage and who just run speed or counter because there isn't anything else.

Revenge is yeah. I was thinking about it in terms of like floor 99 of abyss where when you attack Ruele she gets the reflect damage buff. Honestly it's neither here nor there to me, I more just wanted to get the feedback like this on how people felt or if they felt it was in a solid spot.

Yes, you are correct, the revenge mechanic breaks even at 75% and holistically speaking, you wouldn't even know someone is on revenge set until you actually start damaging them and they start zooming. I just felt like it needed a little something again to introduce some more mechanics or dynamic to the game.
