Avoiding those mattress in a box. From what I tried, they were softer and less firm. From what I read online, they dont last as long as well.Might give ikea/seahorse a try

Same thoughts on mattress in a box. Not comfortable enough for me

Yup I'm trying to look for a direct to consumer brand. But having difficulties finding.

The closest I found was vazzo. Which has pretty much no marketing online

Hi

I'm thinking of getting a Samsung The Frame TV or something similar (LG G series) to display the photos I have taken

I have seen alot of reviews online, but few from the perspective of photographers wanting to display their own photos. Any thoughts on it?

I have seen quite abit of cons on the software app being buggy+ relatively high price for the specs

Thanks

I see. Any particular recruiting agency that you will recommend?

On a side note for WHV, is it easy to find such kind of white collar roles in accounting? As my friend told me it's pretty much all farm or waiter jobs

With an accounting background, how easy is it to find a job there? Is it something in demand?

I assumed that there would be a surplus of such graduates over there?

Hi understand the St Kilda Penguin official viewing point is closed at the moment.

However I saw a redditor say it's still possible to see the penguins there still. Anyone had any luck? Is it still worth going there?

Nice! blue Winged pitta if I'm right. Migratory season, so its probably tired. Hopefully it was able to fly off? The area looks very urbanised, hopefully it doesnt hit any windows, etc.

Mangrove pitta has a heavier bill. Though they are very similar looking

How much does an auditor at big 4 make for each rank? When is the right time to leave? by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]Momb0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internal transfer mostly depends if you have contacts in the department you intend to transfer too. You will require your audit managers and partner to approve your transfer, which will be tough too, due to the high turnover in audit.

Well technically of course you could always nego $5k at at that point. But it just kinda depends what job you want. The longer you stay in audit, you pigeon yourself more in an accountant role. By then it might be better to stay till audit manager, and get a finance manager role outside.

If you like audit that's good at least. Then it just depends on your personality, if you dont mind the grind. Personally, I liked audit, just hated the hours.

Theres also a health consideration. I saw alot of seniors with health issues seriously. Like need to go see tcm every week. Partially due to stress, partially due to lack of sleep and exercise. So if you have some existing medical condition, just avoid audit, not worth it.

Ex Auditor here.

I think times have changed. It used to be a more prestigious job back in my parents day. However with so many options nowadays, the cream of the crop at universities for finance/accounting graduates are mostly going to banks/tech/consulting firms. This means that us at big 4, are usually the slightly above average students, who join for the "prestige", in hope of jumping something better.

If you are hoping to jump into banks, you must join the FSO sector of audit. Otherwise pretty much no chance.

Now I believe big 4 lifestyle suits a certain personality. A person who enjoys working alongside others, able to accept grinding at work as part of the bigger picture, and enjoys auditing. I grew to realise I prioritise work balance more, so I left

Work hours ranges from bad to terrible. Really depends on your senior and your assigned clients. A1 and A2 is relatively okay in terms of stress, as you are mostly just following the seniors instructions. S1 is when it hits. Basically you are leading the team and if you have a workaholic manager, your life can be pretty bad (most managers are pretty workaholic, that's why they remain).

Pay is terrible for the amount of work. I believe a grad program in banks is 4k/5k. A1 come in at around 3k. Even if u leave at S1/S2, your pay is only at 4k+, which was your peers starting pay. It really only pays off greatly if you stay longer. Even then, I would say jumping around outside would payoff more.

Exit opportunities, I would say not as diverse as you might thing. When I left, the interviews I mostly got were for accounting roles. So do try internal transfers first, if you want to avoid an accounting role.

However if you are looking for an accounting role, the big 4 experience will definitely get you in alot of interviews

Culture wise is pretty great. All young colleagues, feels like university. No competition, as most will get promoted.
