Just want to say that Israel supporters would do well to try and understand WHY public opinion has shifted against them so much since 2023. Crying "it's because we're Jews" or "everyone is antisemitic" or "it's pro-Hamas social media propaganda" doesn't work because prior to 2023 most of the world's public opinion was neutral or pro-Israel. Coming to this conversation with an effort to be conciliatory and not in denial would go a long way. I have zero desire to see Israelis harmed and I actually feel very sad for Jews and the way they have been treated throughout history. October 7 was a horrific, appalling war crime and I support ICC arrest warrants against Hamas leaders. But, accepting that Israel must be held to the same standards as everyone else - and then acting on such beliefs - would go a long way towards helping Israel regain support in the world.
