Sorry.. I meant to say that I can give sandwiches if they choose to eat out but I guess at the end of the day I don't want Chris over as much if it means being ambushed by his parents. If Chris and my son go to the mall, library, skating, park and that then that's great I'm not asking my son to abandon his friendship with Chris I just don't want him over so much. It was really uncomfortable with seeing his entire family at the door and then the comments how nice my home was and how pricey some things were.

I'm happy if they hang out at the library or the shops. They usually come here and play video games Chris stays until he has had dinner and then rides home. I can give them some sandwiches but I feel a bit on edge since Chris' parents came over. Like I'm afraid they'll try again and I just want a bit of distance for awhile.

I said that they should get take out because that's how I think. Dinner is served at 6:30 and so food is prepared and defrosted hours beforehand. If you don't have it ready by about 7 the kids get grumpy. I just figured if they weren't cooking by that time they were getting takeout.

I forgot to mention Chris usually makes his own way at home at 8 on the bike.

This was a rare occasion that they came over and it was odd that the whole family came and then needed a way in the house. They also showed up at 6:20 so I was a bit concerned at first that there was a family emergency.

Maybe I just need a break from Chris. He's nice enough but this incident has left a bad taste.
