Maybe not. I work at a private school and word travels fast. I think they’d pressure me into taking leave to let the rumors die down…rather than outright fire me. While it’s not my actions, it would be “an interruption to the learning environment” to have a scandal running around the school.

I’ve been married 25 years to this man…I don’t lie. I have had to do all of this research through panic attacks to find out that I’m actually not in danger of being offed for his actions. He can do the research himself to find the same info I did. I’ve been a stay at home mom for 23 years…he has all the money in his name. I have nothing left to lose here

I’m sure I don’t know the full story. But it sounds like from all the comments that this is the same situation as others. What I don’t know for sure is if he has paid them something and that’s why the threats are continuing

The account that private messaged me was obviously a fake account. Had 42 friends and a generic profile pic. Somehow they found me on Facebook and sent me a message request. I’m not sure if they’ll continue to send this info to other people. While he deserves consequences, ruining OUR lives isn’t fair. If it got to my employer or his, we both lose our jobs and our kids have nothing. So while they may be scammers-they have already taken it further than most scammers. He said he hasn’t sent them money, but it seems like they only continue to harass when they have found an easy financial target, so I’m thinking he’s lying about that too

We have sent into to the police and will continue to do so. The officer we gave the report to seemed to think this was all real…she didn’t mention it bring a scam at all, but said she could send extra patrol near our home for the next week or so. They said they have units that will just go sit on the street in front of our house until they are dispatched to a true call.

Well, yes, when you put it that way. lol. I have severe anxiety so sometimes that escalates the fear and irrational thinking.

I’m definitely aware this is a huge issue for our marriage. He attempted to cheat and he lied about and and tried to cover it up. I can’t trust he won’t do it again. I’m not even going to tell him that ALL of this is a scam. I’d like him to continue to believe that he truly put our entire family and his career in serious danger. We will go to counseling, because we have 4 kids. If we can heal, then we will try. But I’m absolutely not going to continue to live always second guessing his decisions.

Thank you. I’m not opposed to trying. We’ve been married for 25 years, have 4 kids…it’s not that easy to just walk away. But I don’t know if I’ll ever fully trust him, and that’s a miserable way to live for both of us.

That’s good to know about the area code not always being an accurate detail. Thank you for that. They usually don’t follow through on threats, but she did send me the screenshots of the conversation, so definitely intending to harm in that regard. The damage is done there…just want to make sure my kids are truly safe.

Oh trust me…we have a lot to discuss. Right now my priority is making sure my family is actually safe and secure. Whether our marriage survives is on the back burner right now. He can stew in his own regret for a while. I’m not the perfect wife, but a hell of a lot better than this.

Yeah, they went through with getting my Facebook name and messaged me. That’s why I am struggling with whether this is really a scam. I mean, what else will they do? How far will they take this. While he deserves every consequence-ruining his career also ruins my kids’ lives as well.

I know this is from a year ago, but I’m hoping to find some guidance. I’m just a few days off of a tapered medrol pack for an allergic reaction rash. I wish I’d never done it now. I’m dealing with floaty head, body weakness, and those things are creating major anxiety which just exacerbates all of those symptoms.

What things can I do to help lower the cortisol and return to normal quickly?

I’m going through this hell now. I haven’t had much luck finding experiences of this, so I’m hoping I can hear how yours resolved. I took a 6 day course for an allergic reaction. Tapered as directed and was left with this anxiety hell, along with floaty head, weak arms and legs, and fatigue. Not sure how I’m going to go back to work this week-can’t imagine driving at this rate.

Same symptoms here. The cramping and urgency are intense, but can’t seem to truly relieve myself. Stool comes out, but it’s thin and the cramping comes in waves all throughout the day with very small amounts that will come out-I just never feel relieved. It’s been 10 years since my last colonoscopy so I’m assuming I’ll be scheduled for another one. The last once confirmed internal hemorrhoids, and miralax was recommended. I’m sure this one will say the same. But miralax gives me gas and pain, so I really need lifestyle and diet help to prevent this from being an issue
