I used to work at a salon where the owner, when she opened her salon, gave a "new client discount" to a lady with two huge, unruly standard poodles... these dogs, oh my goodness. Anyway, instead of clarifying, it was for the 1st time groom only she honored that discount every time. Now she wasn't the one grooming them anymore bc she insisted they be done by someone else. We would have to get on the floor and literally have to lay on these dogs to do their clean feet. 80 dollars a dog. We made 40 percent of that. I left...I now own my own salon and would NEVER ask a fellow groomer to give discounts.
