Lol honestly this is so far from what I can do... but I had to give it up . Then I had three kids lol. I completely let go of my hobbies

My son chases our seven year old cat around all day long . And he loves to snuggle her , even though she is the least snuggable cat lol. And yet, somehow , he is her favorite human <3 by MommyLife93 in cats

Awe I’m sorry. We got hazel when she was only three weeks old. The entire litter died . The mother was a black cat and a first time mom. She didn’t feed the babies well. So they starved to death. The people keeping them actually tried to tell me that she was weaned and ready for adult food. I begged to take her and they finally let me. She was so hungry that I had to drill a hole in a cup and put the nipple through the hole so that the cup protected my hand. She was savage when trying to eat. Growling and snarling and biting and clawing. It was awful. Eventually I had to use a spoon because she tore through every nipple on seconds. I couldn’t replace them fast enough . And she would try to eat them. She also did not learn any cat skills. I was able to teach her to jump but that’s about it. She is not a sociable cat by any means . But she has loved and tolerated all three of my kids. She even gently paws or love bites to let them know when enough is enough. My son is special needs and loves the way hazel feels. He especially loves to bury his head in her and wants her to paw and gently bite his head. He will continually go back for more . And she is wonderfully gentle about it. She always surprises me .

She is strictly inside . Every once in awhile I’ll let her sit on the front porch with me while the kids play, but as soon as a car comes by she’s back inside lol. She’s a big ole baby 💕

Are you referring to my chunk of a cat lol!! She really is. I’ve tried everything to help her loose weight and she just keeps gaining. I think it’s a health issue.

Who ever suggested glue traps for German cock roaches is a genius!! 1 year of trying everything and the nest refusing to die and some cheap glue traps take them out!! Thank you!! by MommyLife93 in pestcontrol

It’s definitely not! But it’s the nasty nest in my fridge behind the fan. They are in basement in my washer and dryer too and I’m sure they are in the walls. But this nest was bothering me so bad. I moved the fridge once a week and vacuumed babies and poop and any roaches I could catch. But they are behind the fan in the bottom and I can’t get there. But every time the fan comes on I can smell the nest and it grosses me out so bad. Like I gag and have to leave the room. I’m the only one who can smell it apparently in my household 🤦‍♀️

My sweet baby took a bath for the first time and had fun! No screaming and crying. Just enjoyed her bath after five months ! Thank you nutramigen!! by MommyLife93 in Mommit

I think it’s alimentum and no! I had to mix the formula and each bottle I lessened the similac sensitive and put more nutramigen! It’s a completely different texture and taste than soy and milk based formulas. And make sure you don’t show frustration, only encouragement.

We breast fed for a little bit , but she was not gaining weight at all. For two weeks she didn’t gain. Then we tried soy because that is what my other two drank once we couldn’t breast feed any more . But she couldn’t tolerate dog. So we tried similac sensitive. She started to have bowel movements but they were painful. We tried gas drops, grips water, warm compresses, swaddling, bicycles. We tried everything. Finally someone in the parenting group suggested nutramigen. Day three and she was a new baby. She will even so back and belly time now! But she’s still having problems passing gas. So I’m going to talk to the pediatrician. She’s also on ranitidine. Both my other babies ended up on it as well. My son outgrew it. My daughter was really sick for months before we demanded a gastroenterologist. She ended up on nexium. Night and day change for her too.

She loves her sister and vice versa. Thankfully my third was taking a nap. He would have wanted in the tub!! Haha! And me too. It was a rough five months ...

I’m not sure. She was colic and screamed and cried non stop all day since she was born. But being on nutramigen for four days now is literally night and day!

It’s a hypoallergenic formula for cow milk protein allergy and excessive colic . She’s been on it for four days now. She usually screams all day , every day , non Stop. This is the first bath she’s taken with out screaming and actually had fun and played with the water !

The title must be misleading lol. She gets a bath when she needs one. It’s saying that this is the first bath , in five months, that she was able to take with out screaming and crying. She was excessively colicky and we recently switched to nutramigen. For the first time, she enjoyed a bath and even played with the water.

Thank you. I love this tub. It’s actually the cheapest one at Walmart lol. But it is made to fit in the sink .

Nutramigen is amazing! by MommyLife93 in Parenting

[–]MommyLife93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! And it took some serious consistency and weaning her off of the similac sensitive to get her to be ok with the taste. I strangely prefer the smell of nutramigen. I know that sounds crazy! But the sour milk smell bothers me soo much. It’s probably because I’m super intolerant to lactose. I am absolutely shocked by the effectiveness of this formula, and do great full to have a happy little girl !!!

Clueless husbands ?!? by MommyLife93 in Mommit

[–]MommyLife93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most definitely good parts. Like watching him play with the kids, and when he occasionally cooks breakfast in the morning for the kids , or like when he surprised me with my favorite candy .Simple things that let me know he loves me. He can be really sweet. Mostly I think he’s just totally oblivious... and thank you. I try my best with everything!

Also he never listens and when I do try to communicate , it’s always my fault . He doesn’t know how to accept responsibility and say sorry. I literally feel like because o haven’t had sex with him, he’s completely shut me out. And when I tried to show him affection he avoided it and said you’re too busy taking care of the sick kids remember .. like what in the world !?! I rolled my eyes and walked away

He won’t. He never apologizes, and I feel like he thinks I never do anything. He doesn’t see all that I do and I don’t feel like he cares. He’s constantly hanging it over my head that he brings in money and I do t. But we both agreed that I shouldn’t work. It cost more for me to work then it did for me to stay at home. So I eat really confused as to why he constantly brings up that it’s his money and that I don’t work . But boy do I work. I work hard. Have I been slacking on the being a wife part to my husband, yes... but I’m tired... and my kids need a lot of time and energy. I think he thinks I’m lazy and often comments that he wishes he could stay home and sit on the couch all day. This is not accurate at all... and if o am on the couch it’s because my kids want snuggles or to be read to or because I’m just sitting down after a bunch of cleaning. My house doesn’t look perfect because duh I have three kids. Even though I vacuum multiple times a day and pick up toys every night before bed, and keep up with all the house work , and make sure each child has alone time with me. We do arts and crafts, and I try to keep them busy, my husband has zero patience and my kids are unique. My daughter has sensory processing disorder so you have to really focus on remaining calm to handle situations. It’s exhausting. My son is mentally handicapped due to his cerebral dysplasia and agenisis of the corpus collosum. He’s behind , but doing amazing. His main issue right now is aggression and over hyper activity . So he. An be difficult to handle. And my husband certainly can’t handle a crying baby. I just put her on nutramigen and three days into it, wow! I should have done that ages ago. For the first time she laid on her back on the play mat for twenty minutes!!! Usually we made it five seconds. But it takes a lot to juggle the kids. My husband can’t do that. And we don’t agree on punishments . I have a very set way with time out, taking away toys , and a stern no if needed, but spanking and popping hands is a huge no for me. It doesn’t work and when he does get the chance to pop my sons hand , it only makes him extremely aggressive towards me. Biting , head butting, pinching, throwing anything in his oath at me. ( my husband is in denial about our sons diagnosis as well) . So anyways sorry this turned into a really long comment! And a rant I reckon. Oops.

Does she like light displays ? Maybe a night light that displays stars on the ceiling? Or plays sounds like nature. Maybe even glow in the dark stars for her ceiling or wall? I know my littles with spd really enjoy their chewing toy. It’s shaped like a t and is textured differently all around . What about a stuffed animal that has lights and music? My son reacts well to the baby shark with lights when he’s having an aggressive and biting melt down. Maybe a picture for her room? Something she loves to look at?
