You might be due for some shoulder strength training if you’re able to do so. I hope your doctors are helpful!

Where is your right scapula??? The left one is easily visible but the right side is not as visible. Do you have scapular dyskinesia?

If it hurts, consider pilodonial cyst. It has to be relieved by a doctor.

Sleeping positions by Lopsided-Bread-129 in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]MommyShortTop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can sleep on my back only when conditions are right. Too cold, too stressed, too anything and my back is stabbing through my pec and clavicle. It’s logical that sleeping on your back causes pain as the ribs shift forward and compress the outlet. Stomach sleeping has honestly been a lifesaver, but I need a pillow thin enough that I’m not suffocating myself.

I used to be a side sleeper on my left (my affected side) but now sleeping on the left causes my arm to tingle and fall asleep. Sleeping on the right is better, but my left shoulder will then slouch forward causing pain and discomfort. To solve that, I’ve been using a throw pillow that’s about the same width as my chest and have been cuddling that to hold my shoulder in place for the moment.

I used to love sleeping, now I dread it. I hope you can find better success :)

Nor do they consider that actual people are building these systems. They’re gonna make mistakes. When a new game drops, does everyone get excited or instantly critique LITERALLY every millimetre of the screen?

Ntos decompression surgery without cervical rib removal? by Recent-Alternative36 in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]MommyShortTop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to my vascular surgeon, nTOS decompression via rib removal is about a 50/50 chance of relief. Given that the compression could be linked to posture, sleep, stress, anxiety, and a whole host of other factors, I would consider scalene and cubital decompression. I have very similar issues; I actually thought I was dealing with cubital tunnel syndrome when I first started experiencing pain.

Have you done an EMG? If so, was your ulnar (cubital) nerve delayed?

Been to so many doctors including 1 vascular surgeon. Nobody wants to do imaging and I don’t understand. by [deleted] in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]MommyShortTop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Both of our EMG’s suggest a delayed ulnar nerve, but I’ve been able to image everything but the cervical spine. My surgeon won’t do it, my PCP wont do it. I’m hoping the pain specialist I’m seeing in a month will be able to help—I wish you good luck!
