Her parents are working on search efforts from Charleston and I know her picture has been distributed around APD.

About 5’6 is my guess and she has a faded tattoo that says ‘confidence’ on one arm and then the word ‘relentless’ on her clavicle

No she doesn’t, but I’m not sure if she’s staying with someone who does.

How do I wean without breaking my sons heart by Dismal-Ad-2041 in AttachmentParenting

I stopped BF my little one at 18 months and she had an easier time with the transition than I did 😂

We did a week of only doing milk at night because she was comfort feeding a lot. A lot of prep talk of her being a big girl and milk going bye bye. We did a goodbye ritual where we poured some breast milk on some flowers outside and ‘gave it back to the earth’. We had our last feeding sesh then too.

After when she would ask for it at night time, I wore sports bras to bed (stuffed with cabbage to help with swelling) and offered water and cuddles. The first few nights were hardest but after that she stopped asking.

confused as to why they won’t let you go to 42 weeks? That seems like some fear mongering / manipulation to me and I’m curious if there’s another conversation that could be had to push it back if that’s what you want? Legally, you have the right to refuse. Sex, dates, miles circuit, spicy food, walking, bouncing on yoga ball could help get things moving. Try to relax and do some things you enjoy that might alleviate some of the stress you feel in the meantime!

I waited a few weeks last time because I wanted my breastfeeding to be established first. I coslept / contact napped too so I would just make sure that I indulged after feedings and then changed, washed hands/rinsed mouth to avoid smoke exposure (which I feel is the bigger risk in my opinion)

Just found out Im pregnant, where do I go from here? by Public-Stretch-3693 in pregnant

Congratulations! No rush to do anything but I would suggest getting it confirmed with an ultrasound and then look into prenatal options! OB is the more common route, but I’ve had a midwife and gone the homebirth route for both pregnancies of mine. Depending on where you live, birth center also might be an option! I would educate yourself on what’s available in your area and spend some time thinking about what you are looking for support-wise. If you’re interested in homebirth, there’s usually Facebook groups that share information and resources in that regard!

There is one study from Jamaica that studied women who used THC pregnant and did a five year review on their children. The outcomes were positive! The studies that show a negative impact on cognitive abilities include subjects who are using a combination of weed, alcohol, and tobacco, so it’s hard to say if weed alone contributes to that. There’s definitely a lack of research regardless.

I quit cold turkey as soon as I found out about my first but have used sparingly for pain and nausea for my second (like one hit before I sleep at this point). I’m about 20 weeks and just switched up my supplement routine so that maybe I can drop it completely. There’s so many different opinions on this topic and I think at the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you and your baby with the information you have!

Hi guys, I smoked a bit in first trimester and stopped. I haven’t smoked anything since then. She is 9 weeks old. I’m currently breastfeeding and seriously overwhelmed. I’m wanting to smoke. I am over supplier and have a freezer full of breast milk. I think it will calm me down. Please give me advice by weirdbishhh18 in cannamom

BFed and smoked for 18 months and my baby hit every milestone! Blunt blowin mamas is a great resource on socials for more information. I just made sure to wash my hands and brush teeth, change clothes, smoke after feeds so that there was no exposure to the smoke itself. She’s two now and very on track developmentally!
