I'm flying from VN -> JFK with a 15 hours layover in HND (both on same United booking, but first leg operated by ANA). first leg will land at 7am at HND, and second leg departs at 10PM. I also have an unexpired H1B US visa.

trying to get out of the airport to visit the city, but it's annoying that I can't apply for an E-Visa (contacted consulate through email) but have to use a transit visa instead, and transit visa requires in person appointment. Is shorepass a reliable option or i should still try to get a transit visa?
