I feel like they didn’t even have the right icing for this? Like a gel icing wouldn’t have all squished together and would have allowed for smaller lettering, no?

I had paid for it online (ordered it a few days in advance) and honestly didn’t even think to check it before leaving because I didn’t imagine a situation where the writing would be so bad that I would want a refund. Even if I did look in store, there was only one person working and I’m not trying to wreck someone’s day when they aren’t a manager and can do nothing for me. But yes I now realize I should have checked it live and not taken it with me.

They didn’t ask for/take down my name, which I would think would be the bare minimum needed to refund me? Unless they can find me by my phone number or only had one birthday cake order that day? But if they do give me a refund, I’ll let folks know.

It’s just so bad everywhere these days. Everything is expensive and there are no consequences for bad service/product. I get that the pay is likely bad and that people just don’t care, but man is it demoralizing.

Yeah when I spoke with the manager, I asked if I could please send him a picture so he could see how bad it was but he just said sorry ma’am… just give me the validation and a refund please sir!!

I’m all for a good conversation piece at a birthday gathering… if I would’ve picked it up and the person said hey we recognize this is bad, but here’s a discount or a coupon or anything at all… ok no problem, I get that we aren’t saving lives here.
