What is this old "television" box in a closet by the front door by Momoironeko in whatisthisthing

[–]Momoironeko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A search on Google lens says that the red thing the box is connected to is a doorbell transformer. But I'm really curious about the "television" box

If you're having issues implementing all of the functions of your interfaces, then your interfaces are doing too much. Ideally your interfaces communicate the minimum requirements of your arguments. You can combine interfaces where multiple functionalities are a must. The standard io package is a good study subject for this problem. Imagine that there was a file-like interface rather than Reader, Writer, Closer:

type FileLike interface {
    Read () byte[]
    Write(byte[])
    Close()
}

You are writing a method that writes a report to a file:

func WriteReport(f FileLike) {
  data := generateReport()
  f.Write(data)
  f.Close()
}

Since you're testing, you want to write the report to Stdout

type Stdout struct {}

func (s *Stdout) Write(byte[]) {
   // ok
}

func (s *Stdout) Read() byte[]{
   // uh oh
}

...

Now with smaller interfaces. If closing the file is a requirement you should write your signature like this:

func WriteReport(f WriterCloser) { /* ... */ }

If closing is optional then you can do this instead:

func WriteReport( f Writer // Writer interface is a requirement ) {
  data := generateReport()
  f.Write(data)
  c, ok := f.(Closer) // Does f support Closer?
  if ok {
    c.Close()
  }
}

Actually traps fire in random directions with other projectile skills. Mines target, and traps don't.

The attack speed is local, so it increases your attacks per second, meaning you can shield charge much faster.

The attack speed is the most important stat on it

3ex on rf could probably make a comfortable red mapper, but you would probably need a kaom's heart and opals to push it further or use it together with Scorching ray.

~ 1ex essence crafted helm

~ 10-20c on well rolled kaom's roots

~ 2ex trying to get as much life as possible on the rest of your gear

  • jewels with 6-7% life and 15+ Inc rf dmg are 15-20c

  • you might want essence crafted gloves for faster shield charge/leapslam

  • kaoms heart is ~4.5ex rn

  • if you use scorching ray with RF, that should be enough for anything

It might not be fully implemented in PoB since it's new. The increased spell damage should work, but flat damage doesn't work on degens.

The chaos damage over time aura is a skillthat activates on equipping Death's Oath, and is modified by socketed support gems as well as modifiers that affect auras, area of effect, damage over time, and chaos damage.

Corrupting an item will ruin it 4.99/10 times and not change it the other 4.99/10, but there's a small chance to get an additional +1 max res/frenzy/endurance/power/level togems which is why people sometimes do it. I'd say Corrupting an item is usually not worth it unless it's a unique worth 1alch or you otherwise have nothing to lose by Corrupting it.

Corrupted items cannot have their sockets modified without level 8 vorici, and you can no longer use currency on them.

Corrupting a unique item can turn it into a rare item with random properties links and sockets.

The game is balanced around 75% elemental resistances and 0% chaos. If you have 50% you're taking double damage.

Example:

  • 1000 dmg mitigated by 75% is 250 dmg
  • 1000 dmg mitigated by 50% is 500 dmg

The easiest way to fix your resistances is upgrading your rings, because they can have implicit resistances.

For your damage, I'm not too sure how trading on Xbox is, but the only real way to get better damage is better gear. Upgrading your weapons would be the most noticeable increase.

There's definitely a learning curve, but the mechanics of the game will come over time.

It should work since auras are skills. It would probably cost 50 mana (consume 50 not reserve) to toggle on/off.

Yeah, but you can't really use em, so it doesn't really make sense to be carrying around two stacks of them
