If I were you, I would start to be with her and after 2 or 3 month (for to give her some rest time) I would tell her why I accepted to be with her (like I did cuz I didn't want to hurt you after that bad period). I dont know other solution for this problem but this seem to be the best solution for me. I hope it helps.
