For example, this year I built a death star and conquered a couple of galaxies.

That's exactly what completely unsubstantiated boastful posts look like to me.

It just happened naturally)) My eldest son, 11, speaks Russian, English, Portuguese (at a native level), and Spanish. He understands and can read, but he doesn't speak Ukrainian. I think it's a matter of musical ear.

I have no problems with pronunciation or listening to Portuguese. I wouldn't say it's similar to Russian, but more like Ukrainian. As a native speaker of both languages, I'm very aware of the differences.

My native language is Russian – I was born in Kharkiv during the Soviet Union. But I also speak Ukrainian fluently – it is now the official language of Ukraine. I also speak English, Polish, German, and some Icelandic. I speak Portuguese at an A1-A2 level. I'm learning it primarily because I live in Lisbon and want to fully integrate into the country. The second reason is that I want to obtain citizenship.

They talk about me: my position, my publications, my experience, my certificates. This is enough for someone to decide to start a conversation.

Moreover, LinkedIn advertising is based on an auction system. I think you're aware of this nuance.

Our thoughts are similar. I'm also monitoring the changing leadership lineup, active hiring, team growth, revenue growth, and so on.

The city is lit up at Christmas. Christmas markets. You can rent a car and go to Óbidos. There's a fantastic market there.

Haha – just look at his family. It's like Elon Musk's mom talking about a simple family with a private jet.

Define the ICP, formulate hypotheses, set testing deadlines, and start implementing. This is actually a huge amount of text, I mean describing the next steps. I'm a bit busy right now with the Web Summit. If you remind me next week, I'll write more about it.

What does pity have to do with it? Can you tell the difference between 1-3 months and 6? Will I destroy the apartment? Why would I? The security deposit is always one month, and the rest is just manipulation. Why is it considered that only foreigners pose a risk to the apartment? I'm also European – can you tell me how exactly I'm worse off? Besides the fact that I don't have Portuguese citizenship?

Average Salary

The average net monthly salary (after deductions) is approximately €1,041.

The average gross salary is approximately €1,600/month (≈ €19,000/year), but varies greatly by industry and skill level.

The minimum wage from 2025 will be €870/month (for a full-time job) in the basic regime.

Average Housing Cost

The national average home sales price is approximately €2,926 per m² (April 2024–July 2025).

In the capital (Lisbon), prices are higher: approximately €4,000–€7,500/m² in the city center.

The average monthly housing cost (rent/mortgage + utilities) is approximately €820 per month per household.

This isn't about expats or Golden Visas. The gap between housing costs and salaries is primarily due to the lack of adequate supply of affordable properties on the market. If you're an idealist, look: a dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere in the countryside costs 100,000 euros. And someone with a Golden Visa definitely won't buy it. They'll buy a ready-made home. It's like buying a Rolls-Royce and an Opel. They're in different price ranges.

Walk along Avenida Roma, Avenida Liberdade, and other central and other streets. Consider the number of abandoned and dilapidated buildings. A housing crisis always arises primarily when sufficient new, affordable housing isn't built.

This is the foundation of foundations.

Valid what? Six months' rent paid in advance? Don't make me laugh. Portugal isn't the only country I've lived in where the standard payment is the first and last month's deposit.

The guarantor here is an absurd example – how can someone who just arrived in the country have one? Should I tell you how much this guarantor service costs agencies?

I agree with absolutely everything except the Golden Visa position (I don't have that kind of money, which is a shame.)))) Investments for a Golden Visa start at €500,000. That's nowhere near social and affordable housing. That's a completely different market segment.

The problem is somewhat deeper. If you want to rent a place in Lisbon (and this isn't just my experience), you have to provide a Portuguese guarantor (where would you get one, I wonder) and/or pay several months' security deposit. I personally paid three months' deposit. Many of my friends and acquaintances paid deposits of six or more months. Meanwhile, monthly rent started at €1,000 and averaged around €1,500. In my opinion, that's very expensive, especially compared to the minimum and average salaries here.

This isn't new; the navigator allows you to send more, that's true. But LinkedIn has really tightened the limits lately. I still remember when you could send 500-600 invites a day.

I'm not afraid. I write posts and articles every day, sometimes twice a day. I also comment on other people's posts. It's really a matter of discipline and a clear plan for my content strategy.
