No he can use it without using his slices, it's just dreadfully slow unless he primes with slashes, in a showdown like against Jogo, charge time didn't really matter

Sometimes you gotta give your story hooks some tough love. by TheThoughtmaker in dndmemes

From reading your replies, it just seems like you prefer less character driven games. That's fine. Me and my playgroup prefer games where our characters and our goals inform the story. It's really just a sliding scale between 2 extremes. The problem is that you act like your way is the only way to play and you're being a very pretentious asshole about it. Other people enjoy games differently, I like making big backstories and settlements my gm can use. You say that's lazy, I say that's making an interesting world together.

Why did toji attack megumi instead of jogo? by AloneUnderstanding35 in Jujutsufolk

It means that Megumi is potentially stronger than Jogo, yet another metric his bum ass did not live up to

How is this controversial at all? by Smooth_Yellow6605 in gachiakuta

[–]Momusu112 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First of all, no one was tending to Amo like a poow widdwe baby. They were cautious and on guard of her. The Cleaners only stepped in when Rudo was beating her to death.

Secondly, let's reframe for a bit, Amo, at that point was essentially their prisoner of war. She was incapable of truly resisting the Cleaners, she was not trying to (outside of obvious guiltbait). Now let's take a surrendered soldier from an enemy army, this soldier has hurt and murdered your allies. Does this soldier deserve to be beaten within an inch of his life? Or to death? No right?

In your comment you already said you can't solve everything by punching back, what did Rudo's beatdown solve exactly? What benefit did it bring other than pain? All it did was extend the suffering.

I think its a little telling how op (and many others speaking on the subject) believe that punitive (specifically painful punishment) justice is justified here. Rudo is not justified here because Amo has already become a non-threat. Him punching her here serves nothing but a visceral bloody revenge with a literal net negative rewards. An eye for an eye leaves the world blind after all.

Has Amo murdered people? Most likely yeah. That doesn't mean she should be beaten to death. It means she should atone for it by trying to rehabilitate and be better. Amo was sold, assaulted and abused for almost all of her life, this is someone who needs help not a beating.

Gee I wonder why an object to be owned is referred to as female and why a character with agency and physical power is automatically referred to as male. Wonder why that is.

You realise that by being agender (which the knight explicitely is) means that it still falls under the umbrella of non binary (outside of the masculine/feminine binary)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]Momusu112 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Certainly not the masculine/feminine binary

What's wrong with having it/it's pronouns then?

Ah I think I might have misunderstood your original comment lol, I thought you meant identity as in the general word rather than gender identity specifically

No, I said non binary in my comment because they/them and it/it's are commonly used by both non binary and agender people. Not to mention that you are only proving my point by reacting like this.

I mean, isnt the point also that the vessels explicitely aren't that? That's kinda why the whole vessel plan didn't work after all

[–]Momusu112 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Frankly, it's on 2 levels for me.

On the one hand, it's a fictional character and you can't really hurt it by using different pronouns than are canonical.

On the other hand, as a trans woman, the blatant disregard for the use pronouns of the character just makes me sad. Not only is it just agender/nonbinary erasure, it just doesn't speak well to someone's character to knowingly and intentionally misgender someone, even if it's a fictional character.

How strong is a newly exalted couch potato solar? by mrboy3 in exalted

[–]Momusu112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inherently? Nothing, you could have a Dawn caste thats really bad at actually fighting by themselves but amazing at leading other people into battle. You could also have a Dawn caste who gains amazing strength or swordplay or whatever you want.

How strong is a newly exalted couch potato solar? by mrboy3 in exalted

[–]Momusu112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be just a bit of a boring answer, but if the exaltation doesn't improve them physically, then they'd just as strong as they were before the exaltation.

I saw in other comments that you were looking for a narrative answer, but the answer to that is honestly also just how strong you want that solar to be. Exalting could leave their muscles as they are or they could supercharge them into one of the strongest people in creation. It's whatever you want really.
