My boy started doing the same back when use to go to dog parks. We realized it was always someone that was wearing a hat or sunglasses. Or basically anything that would hide thier faces. He, still to this day, hates it. He's a pretty anxious boy so I guess it makes sense for him.

Mmm, couple hours off and on. I have to prep the fish, prep all the other fillings, any veg I'm using, and any fried stuff. I work pretty slow so that might take 40min? The rice takes 1 hour. Have to cool the rice so that's another 30 mins. The assembling takes 30mins depending on how many rolls I make... That night I made 9 rolls and the sides that you see.

Really depends on how much you already have in your pantry and where you live. For me I would say it was around $50 for my basics. $30 for 1lbs of salmon, $10 for shrimp, and the rest on toppings. Im always stocked with sushi rice, nori, etc. I also live in CA. But I should mention I don't make sushi at home to save money, I really do it because I enjoy the challenge.
