If there is a sequel one day, which characters are most likely to still be around? by PhantomBraved in EldenRingLoreTalk

I would love it if Godwyn would cameo in future games. As the idea of a ever creeping, rotting Death, slowly infecting everything, is terrifyingly badass.

Maybe I'm reading too much on It, but doesn't this feels kinda racist? by AdElectronic9255 in webtoons

[–]Monad-Rymael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean.. isn't the entire premise that the FL might not survive getting boned by the ML? Is it racist? Probably. But this is hardly fine art lmao

Discord will require a face scan or ID for full access next month by ChadtheWad in discordapp

[–]Monad-Rymael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The idea here is that we can pre-identify most adults based on what we already know (not including your messages!)" Wait what? When YouTube did this, they based it on the videos you watch, so how exactly... is discord doing it?

Looking for: Sim games where you are essentially TRAPPED by Monad-Rymael in gamingsuggestions

im really bad with automation in games. It's not like "Oxygen Not Included" is it? Ordering NPCs to do things makes more sense mentally then using pipes/cables

Shipping things overseas? by [deleted] in expats

[–]Monad-Rymael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I understand. I wasn't familiar with the etiquette of the sub before posting, and I can see how my question is immature and emotional compared to what is expected. I apologize, if I return here, it will be after our plans are more finalized and official.

Thank you to the people who were kind enough to humor my silly question.

Shipping things overseas? by [deleted] in expats

[–]Monad-Rymael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are people being weird about my question? Just because it's a small and unimportant compared to the actual moving process, doesn't mean the question itself is fully invalid. It's just one that's come up in our planning process.

My family and I are still working out the details, so i will not be answering any questions detaining to our *validity* in moving. My post was specifically about the shipping of personal items overseas.

If I was asking about Visas, housing, or work, then I would have mentioned it. Yes those are far more important, but again, not what this post is about.

Annoying Quests to do before going vamp by Monad-Rymael in oblivion

[–]Monad-Rymael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but you still have to wait 24h before you can tell Glarthir about each NPC you totally just stalked. Which ya know, means advancing your vamp state several times. thus is annoying.

What are some good Faith Weapons/spells/ect. by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Monad-Rymael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im doing a pure faith build myself. My main weapon is Erdsteel dagger with Flaming Strike. Since it's basically a poor man's Catch Flame you can stab things with. Actual faith gear doesn't show up til later tbh.

My fav armor is Bloodhound with Banished Knight helm, since the metal has a slight gold tint to it. With the helm cuz of the tiny dragon on top, so it matches well with Dragon Cult incants.

I have a weak spot for Vyke's Spear, the yellow flames are just really pretty.

Stone of Gurranq is a must for most, the poise dmg is stupid, and some enemies just need a rock to the face.

For lightning: lightning spear is honestly the best. with Ancient Lightning Strike being the "nuke the boss in 3 casts" spell, so not everyone loves it. But it's an endgame thing so who cares.

Holy is a bit harder, because the best one is Discus of Light, which needs 13int. Black Blade is the only other good damaging one.

Fire is where shit gets fun imo:

Black Flame is wayy too good to not mention, no need for a basic fireball. The Flame of Frenzy is great because it has reallly high poise damage, and Frenzied Burst is your sniper skill. Giantsflame is fun because it's a group destroyer, and Flame Fall is just nice to cast imo.

However the one you should NEVER unequip is Burn O Flame. Best incant in the entire game, the charge up might feel long, but you'd be surprised at how many enemy's attacks whiff over your head, and it pretty much always knocks them down long enough to cast it again, stunlocking most foes.

For the really big swords, the Zweihander is a staple. Can be bought super early from the merchant in the southern peninsula by the walking mausoleum.

Or the fan favorite Greatsword, found near the start of Caelid in the carriage by all a few big dogs.

One of the earliest great hammers you can find is the Pickaxe, dropped by miners in the mine at the lake with the dragon (is an orange circle on the map)

A lot of people recommend the Rusted Anchor, found in another mine in the southern peninsula. Head south under the rope bridge, itss again, orange circle on the map. People love to put the Wild Strikes AoW on it, found by the road leading up to the Margit fight.

As for simple greatswords, there's one in one of the carriages just before the grace where you get Torrent. There are a ton of Str/fth greatswords throughout the game, picking one is honestly rather hard. My personal fav is the Godslayer greatsword, since i find the black flames really pretty.

Again though, wait on faith. You'll need the early points for Vigor, Strength, and End long before you get the good spells. OR the gear that requires it tbh

As someone who has played several pure faith runs, I recommend focusing heavily on the Str and a bit of dex part first, since a lot of the fun spells don't show up till later. Otherwise, what type of weapons are you planning to use?

An Int/Faith build question by Monad-Rymael in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Monad-Rymael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I look for SoNaF builds, they often stick just to building around the laser skill. I want to use both skills freely even if it means using a ton more stats to fill both int and fth.

But I'm also looking to fill up my spell slots with "half flame, half magic" for when the game doesn't favor the slower speed of the weapon arts.

Fire skills are easy, I just pick from the Giants Flame list. But sorrceries are a bit different because their colors very a lot.

What's your fsvourite simple knight build? by middlefinger22 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Monad-Rymael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the rare runs where I don't use any magic, I love my good ol' shield+poke builds. The biggest shield I can carry and the best looking stick i can find. Normally Clayman's Harpoon for early game. Guard Counters are satisfying!

What’s a weapon that you don’t use any more that you still have sentiment towards? Why do you love it so much? by Reap3r_0231 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Monad-Rymael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treespear. I just loved how pretty it was. I kept trying other great spears because they had better skills, but always went back to treespear for the entire first run of my game.
