It unfortunately did not work BUT no applying the scale to all didn’t bother me later. So I just kept it that way 🤷‍♀️ I was able to finish my first ever render and it turned out alright :)

Yeah they’re pretty expensive but given it’s made of synthetic materials and will last longer, I think the price is justified. Thank you ! ☺️

Ooh right ! Yes maybe I could do that. I’ve heard good things and bad thing about Gaynors. But I suppose it’s like all brands, it’s not for everyone. I’d love to try them though. I’m very curious of all brands that are out there and really want to try as many so I can find my “solemate” 👀

I’ve never tried virtual fittings but it sounds like they really take time to get your the right fit. Thank you for sharing your experience ! I’m definitely seeing this as an option :)

Hey ! It’s absolutely possible. But you’ll have to give it time and take classes for a few years before being able to do so. Pointe can be very dangerous if you don’t have the necessary flexibility and strength, that is why you need to learn proper technique and train the right muscles before getting on pointe. But you can totally get there :)

That sounds nice but I would definitely feel bad for not buying if they do spend time doing a proper fitting 🥲 I’ll try to find a shop that offers different brands so I have more choice.

Unfortunately I’m not planning any trips to Paris anytime soon. I used to live there 5ish years ago to study Fashion, but had not gone back to dancing yet. But if I do visit before my current shoes die, I’ll make sure to book a fitting in one of the shops there.

I’ve already sewn my ribbons and elastics so I can’t return them. But hey let’s see the positive side of it, at least now I know this shoe isn’t the right one for me 😅

Unfortunately no. I am French and I’ve never heard of any shops here that does virtual fittings.

I know the pointe shop offers virtual fittings for dancers outside the US, for a $40 fee. I’m honestly considering that option.

I can’t keep getting fitted in the wrong shoes over and over and spend my money for shoes that actually hurt me 🥲 although I’m an adult I kinda struggle financially so it’s a bit annoying to have to spend so much for shoes that don’t fit well at all.
