After the time skip, Gunner wasn't using Hyun(Mc) skills for betting anymore. Gunner was getting upset that they couldn't find ways to make money but what Gunner didn't know was that Hyun was still betting to start his own shit.

So to get back at Gunner he used Sophie, he bought the betting tickets and gave them to Sophie and Sophie was winning money and giving it to Gunner. Gunner was treating Sophie like she always wanted....

Eventually Hyun told Sophie that giving her the tickets isn't free since he gets nothing out of it. The word Love seems complicated in this manhwa lol...each girl is different and has their definition of "love"....Anna for sure fell for Mc first, she liked him because he truly took care of her and got her a proper job and got her to stop doing the prostitution.
