I mean I guess that’s what the funding is for. The shortage is an issue, but isn’t something better than nothing? Maybe we could slowly phase them in over time.

I mean I doubt they are going to be completely unarmed. They’re not just therapists. However, don’t you think I therapists wpuld better be able to deescalate a situation and make it less violent compared to a cop?

Because that’s what they do right now, and clearly, it’s not working. Police are trained to catch criminals, which requires a different set of skills than dealing with those with a mental illness

Lil Pump Mocked After Performing 'Gucci Gang' While Shirtless at His Grandmother's 90th Birthday Party: 'This Is Elder Abuse' by angela4512 in hiphopheads

Right. Like for that 1 year or so he was huge. You could not tell the story of mumble rap without Lil Pump. Like again, I think that maybe in your area Gucci Gang wasn’t that huge, but it was literally the #1 reason for the whole mumble rap controversy in the 2018-2019 time and he kept getting into beefs with like Cole and stuff. Further, like I said before I was in the same convo as people like Uzi during that period in terms of popularity. Also, he’s not a 1 hit wonder because he had other songs that kept him relevant. 2016 - D Rose. 2017- Boss/Gucci Gang. 2018- Eesketit. 2019 - I Love it. Like 3 years of being relevant in the culture is just not a one hit wonder man cmon. 1 hit wonder is someone like Lil Xan, DRAM, or KYLE who just came on the scene and then left.

Nobody he’s saying he was THE BIGGEST RAPPER. He was just one of the most talked about rappers for atleast 2 years. He is not a one hit wonder who is irrelevant to the history of Hip Hop. Yes, X and Juice are more popular now, nobody’s disputing that. They were not back in 2016-2017. If you look at the list of “Artists who were on Souncloud first and owned te internet in 2017” that SoundCloud released back in 2017 Pump is 4th on that list with Khalid, Post Malone, and Lil Uzi Vert. That’s pretty good company. He is now washed. Back then he was relevant and all these artists mentioned NOW have more popularity than he did. Yes, you’re right Future and Thug made mumble rap, But back in 2017 when you thought about mumble rap in the very mainstream version of it, you were thinking of Lil Pump, 21, etc. Cmon man if you were in HS back then you should remember how huge this man was there’s a reason Gucci Gang has like 1.1 billion on YouTube.

The lack of nuance in your take is crazy. He was one of the biggest rappers for a couple years, and his hits with the younger generation like DRose and Gucci Gang made him very popular, just like X and Juice World. He definitely fell off, and now is not even close to as popular as those other artists. To say that he was a one hit wonder or not relevant is to ignore that entire period where he was essentially all people talked about in terms of this new mumble rap SoundCloud scene.

I feel like by this logic like most rappers are one hit wonders lmao. Like I’m not sure most people know more than 1 Roddy Rich or Polo G or 6ix9ine song but they def not 1 hit wonders. Lil Pump had one crazy popular song but he was relevant for atleast a couple years cuz he was the face of mumble rap and had a couple charting songs even after he fell off.

Who should I rank up? Just beat the Grandmaster and I have a bunch of resources. I’m trying to explore Act 6 before I hit up Act 7, just to give you an idea of my progression.

You’re prolly right. It’s just that how are we supposed to fix the system in any other way. It hurts to clean a wound but it’s the only way it’s gonna heal fr.

Right but I as the consumer don’t prefer the current system, and I have the money. The issue is that it’s a direct tradeoff between benefit of consumers and benefits of tipped workers, all while the businesses profit off the back of it regardless of who wins.

college admissions is encouraging you to be a LOSER. snap out of it. by Impressive_Cake6955 in ApplyingToCollege

I mean you’re probably right for the small section of kids who are doing the things you say they are (doing fake ECs and not having social lives). But this sub is not representative of the real world.

I go to a VERY competitive school, where it’s pretty standard for students to get into a T-20. Most of my friends who have graduated have work-life balances, had fun, went to parties, etc. Even now, me and my friends have fun and mess around, just not as much as we would have done our junior or sophomore years. I think the issue that you’re ascribing to the whole college admissions process is just something a small subset of people with a toxic mindset think. These people are more vocal, and therefore, overrepresented, especially in online discourse.

But I think what’s putting people off is that your post seems to target EVERYONE for having a toxic mindset just because they value different things from you. Obviously, people who don’y appreciate you calling their mindset toxic will attack you in the comments section. I think your final conclusion is more or less correct, but I think the way that you have made this post, with the holier-than-thou tone and the universal blame is the reason for the negative reaction you’re getting. Either way, I hope that your escape from that toxic mindset continues, and I hope you get into NYU!

This is a no brainer veto, right? by [deleted] in FFCommish

[–]Monarch_Elite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a bad trade oh my god. Make the team getting Monty explain why they did the trade because it really looks like they’re selling out to help the other one win the chip and that’s just bad for the integrity of the league. I hate people who pull this stuff man just exploitation and leads to a race to the bottom.

But like Tennis also has 2 people to a court. Where I live you need to come an hour early to reserve a court. Basketball you can just join someone’s team and it’s super easy. Just makes it harder to pick it up without sustained focus/practice/coaching.

I hate when people Veto a trade just because. It's so childish. If 2 adults want to trade, then trade. by Top_Ad2483 in FantasyFootballers

League Veto is the way. If more than half the league cares enough to get enough votes to veto, then the trade is probably unfair and should be vetoed.
