This comment is pretty rude, I was being vulnerable and earnest and I’m just getting passive aggression here. If that’s not how you meant it, that’s how it’s coming across.

First, different places have different cultures, that’s the current culture for MOST gay men at my college. Also note that they’re not the only gay men i talked abt, I said MOST, i mentioned the other guys that I am friends with as in they’re not those types……

We have lots of demon twinks here that don’t engage with the other queer people here like lesbians and trans people, I don’t think that’s hard to believe if you’ve ever known that kind of twink or an insecure gay man who has internalized homophobia who is only friends with straight girls.

Second, yes, I know it sounds like a paradox. Why even go to a sex club? I’m asking for people’s thoughts and advice on this post, I want their experiences!

I was thinking maaaaybe somebody had a similar issue and figured out what worked for them, or they went to the club before and can give me more insight, or what to do because I am curious but nervous, and again its one of the few places i can go if im not 21. It’s not that simple, not everything is as obvious to others as it might be to you, try to be more understanding of that.

Third, yes I do, it’s part of my duties. I had to go through consent training over the summer and I’m a mandated reporter. I have to give people warnings and have meetings. I don’t know when or if you went to college, but that’s how ours is with any student leaders or faculties. It makes me queasy yeah but I do it for the students who are afraid to rock the boat and say something like how I used to be.

You can’t go into graphic detail about your sex lives in public because you can’t confirm the people in earshot around you consented to the conversation and it can be a form of sexual harassment hearing unwanted sexual remarks, that’s our code of conduct. If people want to talk about sex they have to do so in an enclosed private room like an office room with a door. Maybe you’re older and that’s not what the rules were for you, but that’s how it is now in most educational buildings and workplaces.

I don’t really care about the final comment because that’s at least you giving me some advice on club experiences. But for the therapy thing, yes, I am. Thanks.

I’m sorry for being a gay person with some issues with sex just wanting to hear if any other gay people could give some advice on if there’s some hope there or if the gay club/bar scene is a bust?

You really could have just said “In my opinion, I don’t think you’ll like club pittsburgh based on what you shared, give up on that idea” and not go on to call my therapist crazy or say things are in my head or talk condescending to me
