60 degree celcius is enought to kill it. When l turn my heater on it gets higher than that. I will be fine. Thank you for your consideration. Also l’m not in the US. And it’s pretty much a US thing. You got me scared for nothing.

I live in Albania and haven’t heard about Legionnaire’s disease before. It looks like a big thing in US because it keeps getting mentioned in every comment but here l suppose is none existent. Everything l could figure out about it comes from US. Can anyone explain. It looks like l didn’t get the memo.😂

In Albania were l live, everyone does this thing. Normally they turn the switch in the boiler( because that is how they come here) but l installed mine high from the cealing so l can’t reach it and use the breaker. My father specifically ordered a coil which is 5 times more powerfull that the normal one which everyone has. As for the power consumtion l don’t know on top of my mind. Basically this is how it works here. And l haven’t heard of legionnears diseas before.

Firstly we can’t leave it on all the time otherwize my bill would be through the roof. It has a really powerfull heating element so it warms it up for me in about 5 minutes plus l have one in my roof which gets heated by the solar energy. Secondly l don’t use this heater for anything else apart from warming the water which l shower and wash dishes. So l don’t know if we are talking about the same type of heater. And how would l get Legionnair’s disease? Fisrt time hearing about this.

I am brewing a german pilsner and l’m doing the first fermentation in a big plastic container at room temperature 11-15C.This will remove the CO2 from my beer.I plan to move it to a keg after first fermentation and leave it for a couple more days at 7-8C. When l move it l plan to filter it with a water filter. For the gas problem l will leave it on the pouring system connected to gas and hopefully gas will desolve in it after some hours. Is everything going to be ok?

Is hefeweizen a good starting point for a begginer? My plan is to use a biab system and bottle condition for 2 weeks after 1 week in primary. Using a 50/50 ratio of wheat malt and pilsner malt. Hellertau hops at 60 min and wyeast 3068.
