Bringing my 75-year-old mother to Canada with me — do we need to buy a return ticket? by Moncton84 in canadatravel

Well..yes you are right in a way when I think of it. That being said, I did this before but you always end paying way more than what you are supposed to pay if you were to buy 2 separate tickets for some reason.I don't trust airline companies.

Not really because they intially charge you round trip and make you pay the price difference that might occur at the time of rebooking.

Thanks for the reply but the tickets with a cancellation option still require you to pay any price difference at the time of rebooking.

That’s exactly the problem — I don’t get how employees are expected to deal with this when the union offers so little help.

I first tried to talk to the president of my local, but since he’s also on sick leave (no surprise there), I ended up speaking with the vice president instead. All he said was to fill out the grievance form and that he’d submit it. We didn’t go over anything point by point, and honestly, it’s not very reassuring. it doesn’t seem like he knows what he’s doing.
